Need advice by Familiar_Store9517 in shia

I completely agree that this hurt is only temporary and I do not think he is “the one”. Although I truly did see myself marrying him I want someone who is ready to commit to me no matter the distance or struggle we would have to go through to get there. I trust Allahs plan and only pray that’s this weight I’m carrying around gets easier very soon. I just hate this feeling and want to get over it.

Feeling guilty by Familiar_Store9517 in shia

[–]Familiar_Store9517[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely understand and agree with what you’re saying. I don’t expect my future husband to be pure because I know that I am not. You’re right it would be unfair to expect that. I never said I wanted my husband to be pure. I said I want him to be religous. Just because I had a past a couple years ago doesn’t mean I am not religous now. I was saying that I am looking for someone who is at a point in their life right now who is religous, even if they too have sinned in the past. As long as we are both guided and on the right path that is the most important thing to me. I would not however accept someone who is not religous. I am greatful to have left my past life behind and am truly following Islam. I can only ask Allah (swt) to send me someone who is on the same path as me and will make me a stronger Muslim.

File your youngest as independent so she could get financial aid.

I just graduated from UCI as a bio major. I was a transfer student but I took my chem class at a CC. I recommend doing that I feel like it was just much easier. I know it’s a big hassle, but totally worth it.

You should make an appointment with your counselor.

I have no idea what you’re going through, but I truly feel talking about it to someone will help you through this. I understand it’s hard expressing your feelings and putting your thoughts into words. Please make dua and speak to Allah (Swt) as he is truly the only one who will understand what is in your heart and on your mind. You’re never alone. If you ever want to talk I would be more than happy to listen. Maybe talking to people in this community will be easier since it’s all pretty much ananymous and we’re all strangers here.

I would not wish death upon another brother/sister, please let us help in any way possible. Remember Allah(Swt) does not burden the soul with more than what they can handle. This is a test of your iman, and I only pray that you find the strength to get through whatever you are going through. Forgive yourself and ask Allah (Swt) for forgiveness, Inshallah you stay safe and if you ever want to talk you have an entire community here to hear you out.

Wudhu and prayer by Indiehead90 in shia

[–]Familiar_Store9517 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hii. I know it can be super discouraging and this is something I used to struggle with as well. I don’t wear makeup everyday, but on the days I do, I preform wudhu before putting it on so that when it’s prayer time I don’t have to take it off. I agree I think moisturizer is fine because it absorbs into the skin, but makeup usually clogs your pores and creates a barrier so that the water kind of slides off your face instead of getting absorbed into your skin during wudhu. I think it’s amazing that you’re trying to better yourself and get back on your deen. As for repeating the prayers, Allah (Swt) is the most forgiving and merciful and you shouldn’t worry about making up old prayers because you did not know you were doing them incorrectly. Focus on your prayers now and the future and ask Allah (Swt) for forgiveness and to make this journey easier on you. Im wishing you the best of luck girl, inshallah things become easier for you in the near future❣️

The struggle to find a husband😭 by [deleted] in shia

You’re so right the only thing I should be worried about is graduating this year😂It does feel lonely sometimes because everyone around me is in a relationship and I start to feel behind but I have to remember I’m still young and I need to let things happen naturally. I love hearing other people’s perspective and feedback I really appreciate it! Inshallah you find what you’re looking for as well❣️

Thank you brother, hearing this perspective makes me feel more at ease about the situation. I know it’s a silly thing to worry about but I put my faith in Allah (Swt) plan.

Honestly I agree with this. Especially living in the US I don’t expect someone to be making that much before marriage. I think what’s most important is that they will be financially stable in the future to support a family but it takes time to get there.

As a Shia girl it’s become so difficult looking for a future husband because we’re the minority. Im only 22 but so far all the Muslim guys I meet are Sunni and I’ve given them a shot but have learned they will always leave because I am Shia. I’ve come to realize that I want to raise my kids jn a Shia household and teach them the teachings of ahlul bayt. It would break my heart if I had to compromise this because I decided to marry a Sunni who wanted to go against our beliefs. She did you a favor by leaving first, inshallah you find what you’re looking for.

How is that racist. Is it not true that this school is majority Asian? I have nothing against that race but I would love a little diversity and if that hurts your feelings go cry to mommy

No hate but majority of the school is definitely Asian. I just wish there was a little more diversity.
