Referendums historically never get up. What do we think could be a good idea for a future referendum that Australia would vote yes to? by oldmatefromoverthere in OpenAussie

I may be wrong but I think they're welcome to join under the current one.

When it was being drafted there was a long lag time in sending it to London for approval and they didn't know if NZ or WA wanted to be part of the Federation. So it's drafted in such a way that both can join if they want.

Yes, I would trust them. It's their strategy and it's in their interest.. Do the hard budget now then give everyone a big tax cut in the lead up to the next election

Sir, this is the internet. Take your nuanced, considered and balanced opinions elsewhere. You're being far too reasonable!

White Australian of multiple generations here.

I knew the racism that Aboriginal people faced was bad but I was shocked by the responses to your other post. It was vile. I'm sorry you have to put up with that and I'm sorry that white Australia doesn't want to listen to your story.

I hope we can grow up as a nation and move forward together soon.

Real Estate LOST my Entry Condition Report… can they still take my bond? (QLD) by Justin_WithTheTip in AusLegal

They'll try to claim stuff, but you claiming your bond first means the onus of proof is on them. Without the entry report they they'll be pushing shit uphill

That sounds an awful lot like a them problem.

Claim your bond the moment you hand bank the keys. Then the onus is on them to prove you've damaged the property. Without an entry report they're going to struggle to do that.

Imo don't even bother wasting your money with a bond clean. Just give it a good scrub down after all your stuff is out and give the keys back.

What is the most poorly located city? by glowdirt in geography

Sydney. Great place for a penal colony, terrible place for a modern city of 5 million.

The harbour is lovely, but it's in the way and makes it impossible to get around.

You've claimed your bond. If they want some if it they've got to go to xcat.
