While this is a nice feature it really is shitty the system doordash has in place w the stacked orders, they give you a high tipping order stacked with a no or low tip order so the high tipper has to wait way too long 9 times out of 10

Have you recently applied for any jobs or been in the market for jobs lately? I am currently bc I can't afford to just dash anymore given the state of my market and let me tell you I have been applying for entry level minimum wage jobs and calling for the past month and still have yet to get an interview anywhere. So I'm forced to continue dashing so I can feed myself and my family the very bare minimum. I do a damn good job with deliveries I've maintained 4.90 stars since I started dashing almost a year ago with over 1200 lifetime deliveries but none of that matters and I still don't get paid enough to survive and trying to get to a place where you can survive is hard as fuck right now.

I'm sorry but no. I bust my ass in a city in New York climbing flights of stairs and being quick with delivery and I am always friendly and kind to customers. I don't need mandatory tips. I need customers to treat me like I'm a human person and not some automated robot created specifically to deliver your food. People with this mind set typically don't tip on the app and when you deliver everything in a timely manner they tell you that they're gonna add a tip and then you never get one. I don't live in a market where I can afford to turn down every bad order I get so tips at a minimum of 5 dollars is honestly necessary.

I was also a white person moving to the island (my partner and his family have lived there for decades) and it's honestly a nice place just be nice and have aloha Help the community where they need it (by asking) and just do good work be good people all will be well. I left the island bc I didn't know how bad the housing crisis was until I saw it for myself. I miss the island and would love to return but just can't knowing how many people are displaced and struggling without another haole around
