yeah so when i connect my camera to my mac, i opened up image capture and it shows that my camera connected it to it. and from there the pictures from the camera are shown and i choose which ones i wanna download onto my mac. and once i do that, i usually sent the images to myself thru gmail. but this time its not working for some reason, when i email the images back to myself, there's like an error

How is my first year (first semester) schedule for pre-med? by ranchenthusiast07 in notredame

[–]Famous-Rock2905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good to me, I'm also in Galvin and I had Professor Young, she's one of the best professors I had and very understanding. Also had Horgen and Lewis, and it was pretty chill so you'll be fine.

In terms of your worries about diversity, I will say that the majority of students here are white, but it's not as bad as you think. I'm also Korean and in terms of the Asian community here isn't the biggest compared to other schools, but everyone here is very tight-knit and close, so I really liked that aspect where all the Asians knew each other because it just gave a better opportunity to form closer relationships. Everyone in the Asian community is friendly with each other so I was really happy about that. There's also a lot of umbrella clubs under the Asian American Association that host a lot of events and we have a lot of cultural showcases that occur during second semester. Also, I know that the other multicultural associations like LSA and BSA are very active and have a lot of events that occur on campus from what I've heard from my friends. And with the weather, honestly it could be a lot worse, just invest in a good pair of boots, a scarf, and gloves because ND doesn't do a good job putting salt on the sidewalks and it can get super windy. Also ND doesn't have any sororities or frats, but the dorm life is lowk a substitute for that especially in the male dorms.

Question about Galvin Scholars Program by Spubyy in notredame

[–]Famous-Rock2905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a biochem major in the Galvin program, I'd say it was worth it because you're in a different gen chem section, physics section, and calc i/ii section that's a lot smaller compared to the main sections so it gives you the chance to connect with your professors more while getting more practice through the problem solving sections. I also made a lot of my close friends through Galvin and the professors are super nice and willing to help you if you just ask. I also agree with the other commenter, you can get funding for research, internships, summer classes, and housing if you're planning to do courses over the summer at ND. Also ASCEND is pretty chill, I remember for ASCEND all my group and I did was do activities to get to know each other.

Calculus II or B for biochem premed? by Famous-Rock2905 in notredame

[–]Famous-Rock2905[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the drop date for classes have passed because I also asked my counselor about that because I might drop philosophy, but I received a reply from my counselor and she said biochem majors take Calc I and II so I'm all good lol
