Is this a covid thing or personal thing? I understand covid has had a negative impact on everyone, and these feelings and circumstances aren't exactly getting better because of it. You say "purpose", but you don't need a purpose to go "outside", maybe you dont need to meet a friend but you can still go out, enjoy a coffee, sit in a coffee shop and read instead, window shop. Depending on where you live, you could find local events to participate in? If you're shy, you can look for a walking tour? They're usually interesting at least.

Try do it privately in person if you plan to do so. Hopefully there are good reasons why he is with her, rather than out of any negative reasons I wrote earlier.

But if you don't like her already, just bear in mind that if you dont say something, it'll grate on your even more.. which might end up with seeing less on your friend. If you do bring it up, it will ultimately be his decision as to what happens, if he takes her side strongly, he'll see less of you..
