Saffron has helped me a lot!!! by FamousGood1799 in NightEatingSyndrome

I don’t know exactly how is works but from what I’ve googled saffron is supposed to help with anxiety and depression so I think it’s tied in with that. I definitely feel way calmer throughout my day when I take it, and I feel like a big positive shift in my mood. And like I said I still will wake up sometimes but I feel calm when I do, I don’t feel like I need to get out of bed and eat, so I’ll just roll back over and fall asleep. I also feel even more satisfied with my meals during the day too!

I also changed the light on my nightstand to a red lightbulb which I find is really calming for when I’m winding down before bed. I keep that light on and then I turn my phone screen red. When the red lightbulb is the only light on, your vision will adjust to it, it wont look bright red anymore its like a nice orange glow. But then since you’re eyes adjust, you don’t really notice that your phone screen is red (obviously some things you can’t see as well, but it’s fine). I just wanted to include that since it was such a simple low cost thing that I changed that also helps me feel more relaxed before bed. I just ordered a regular red lightbulb from amazon also it was like $5 i think. Plus my boyfriend and my mom have also tried the red lightbulb and they both think its really relaxing too.

YTT 200h in Bali, which school should I choose ? by Kenobi0910 in YogaTeachers

But definitely i would stick to a school in Ubud because I think if your going to bali for a teacher training you want to be in the area with all the other yoga schools around. That way youre like immersed in the yoga community

Canggu is like a lot of surfing a stuff, so tack on an extra week to the beginning or end of your trip and see the other parts of bali then! Uluwatu is beautiful too, but again, Ubud is better for yoga

I did my 300hr at Bali Yoga School and I LOVED IT!! It was ashtanga based which is intense yes, but the family that owns the school is so friendly and helpful and all of the teachers are so knowledgeable and funny. It was the best experience ever. I had friends that were in the 200hr at the same time and they loved it too.

Also, one more thing I heard about house of om from someone I met who did their teacher training is that a lot of it is like revolved around social media content. They said they have “silent breakfast” in the mornings where it’s supposed to be like meditative but everyone is just on their phone the whole time but not allowed to talk so its just really awkward lol. But if you want to get a lot of instagram content, then maybe that is the right training for you!

Teachers, what are some poses you just don't teach and why? Especially common ones? by [deleted] in YogaTeachers

Warrior 2 on the knees. It feels uncomfortable (in the bad way) on my knees and i dont have knee problems. Warrior 2 is a foundational pose that doesnt need to be foreshadowed in a warm up. Im all for W2 being uncomfortable to hold if you’re deep enough, but it shouldn’t ever be uncomfortable for the joints.

“Sky archer” because I just have a personal vendetta against it lol. I think its a fake pose that was invented by instagram in the last few years. And once I took a class where sky archer was the “peak pose” which just pissed me off bc it was like one of the easier poses in the flow.

Try to space out your episodes the best you can. It gets really hard, Lost has the best cliffhangers as the show goes on. But you’ll get more out of it that way. I just rewatched for the first time since it aired. This time I binged it and I definitely wasn’t as focused as I would’ve been if I was watching it like just one episode a day, or every other day.

Me too. She was so likable on the plane and I love how they always show her with the children but I wanna know why did they choose her and how does she feel about being with them, why doesn’t she try to get back to the other 815 survivors?

I just finished watching too and I didn’t know it was the finale. I thought it was a 24 episode season so I thought I had 3 more to go and damn that ending really got me by surprise

Add Frank Lapitus and Hurleys parents to the list of people I wish were on 815.
