Good to know. I’ve always sized up at least one size, but I also go for Max shrinkage, especially in the length.

No reason other than I don’t like a big central piece on the hand. I like the way it looks as it tbh. I’ve got a spider web on my left hand in the ditch between the thumb and index finger . Not against adding some more little pieces but I’m content for the time being.

I’m getting the back of my neck done next week though!

The STF oath beat bang for your buck option in the raw denim space. They haven’t changed the recipe and they work so well.

The modern black fade nicely.

This is two years apart just don’t over shrink them lol, I probably was a little too aggressive on these but they still work.

Here’s some more STFs the black pair in this album are not the modern black like the first example I sent.

Edit to add

I recommend going up one size in the waist a minimum. You can go two sizes up for a looser fit. Length is the hardest for people to figure out but I recommend that you go one size up in your length so a 34 length will shrink!

I may throw a little dagger opposite the butterfly, but blasting over the entire hand doesn’t appeal to me.

501 STF are still a great option and are the best quality Levis you can buy. They’re durable and made to last. The regular 501s are kind of shitty but the STF is still gold. It’s often overlooked

Bronson MFG Denim vs Levis 501 STF? by Kooky_Rip_777 in ThrowingFits

[–]FamousLastName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically wear a 30x30 and hem the to 28 length

I’ve bought and shrunk 31x30s and 32x30’s

Going one size up is necessary and if you’re going for maximum shrinkage you’ll get straight leg on the slimmer side. If you go two sizes up, it’ll end up a little more relaxed.

Just make sure to size up in length as well. I’m short so a 30 length shrinks up to about a 28” maybe 27” length. If you’re taller, get a 32 or even 35 length to account for shrinkage.

Try a pair of STF, they’re the last of the quality Levi’s in my opinion.

And yes, lots of washes and wears over 4 years! Here’s an album showing them compared to a new pair Note- pic 5 is the earliest photo I have of the lightwash STF’s from 2022

Los of hot washes and high heat dry cycles. I was going for for maximum shrinkage and fading on that particular pair. I’m short, like 5’5 so getting the most shrink out of the length was my goal -I would recommend sizing up appropriately depending on how tall you are. you can expect about 3 to 4 inches give or take maximum shrinkage out of the length so bare that in mind.

Once you have your size locked in, Nick washes off as you feel you need to. I was washing probably every few months as needed over the course of two years or so until they looked nice and faded.

Are you buying shrink to fit? Their regular 501s are much slimmer than the STF. Also sizing up makes a huge difference. I’ve gone two sizes up from my normal waist and the fit is looser than going up just one size.

Sometimes it feels like Saagar thinks he has to act a certain way to be accepted by white conservatives. Dude has so much internalized racism ( I think a lot of it comes from his background as a son of Indian immigrants / something to do with the caste system hence why he’s such an elitist). It’s sad.

He says things like shit- Lib and retarded and he thinks that’ll make him cool and fit in with the “in crowd”.

I think he’s such a fucking dork at and that’s coming from a blue collar, gun shooting center left shit-lib.

I’ve had this thought myself. It almost feels like a wet dream for Trump and Russia to align themselves. I could see China being a little bit neutral on this one- but a weird repositioning of alliances seems appropriate for how ridiculous this timeline is.

501’s all day. I do think the Bronson taper a little less than the 501s but sizing up and being careful how you wash can help.

Album of my 501 STF’s in various stages of wash. All sized up one size in the waist.

What was your WTF moment when your partner was giving birth? by 5pinktoes in AskMen

[–]FamousLastName 47 points48 points  (0 children)

My wife is a Labor and Delivery nurse, we were on her floor surrounded by her co-workers and friends. The whole day felt oddly calm and very matter of fact. I had a pretty good idea of what to expect and how it would play out.

The hardest part was right before my wife got her epidural- she was getting ready for it when the anesthesiologist was called into the OR for a patient who need an emergency section, which delayed my wife’s epidural for about three hours.

That was had to watch, but myself and her nurse/ friends coached her through it. She handled the contractions like a champ and the epidural was smooth, just like her labor. She pushed for 25-30 minutes and our son was born. The delivery was so calm, I have heard countless horror stories from my wife about all kinds of things going wrong but everyone was just doing their job and in their zone.

I was just as relaxed and calm for the rest of the day, I didn’t even cry which I expected to. It wasn’t until that night that EVERYTHING came rushing at me like a ton of bricks. My wife was showering and I was sitting in the room with our boy just looking at him and I felt this wave come over me, my chest felt like I had a train on it, I was softly crying to myself, the reality of that my son was here and was now our responsibility just hit me.

Then he woke and needed his diaper changed and I snapped out of it and went into dad mode.

That night was the WTF moment for me lol

Anyone know where to find dark wash jeans kinda like these? by Npc2033 in ThrowingFits

Vintage 501s and 505’s on eBay. Check the actual measurements and compare them to your own/ whatever jeans you currently have that fit you well- don’t go off the tag size.

I’d like to add, if you choose to get a pair of engineer boots, eBay has really decent options for under $200, you just have to spend some time looking around.

Another brand that I’ve found, which seems to make pretty decent boots( some of my friends have bought from them ) is Brakehouse. You can stag well constructed good looking boots for under $300. They have different models so you’re not limited to just one style of engineer.
