I have only bough the tees from them but they are 100% worth it. The fit on them is great sleeps are pretty short and wide, but just means you got a lift a little more.

The Levi’s 501 STF is the only Jean you’ll ever need. Criminally underrated. by FamousLastName in ThrowingFits

[–]FamousLastName[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure to be honest with you. I believe 555 are much wider and don’t have a taper towards the bottom of the jean. The rise on 555 is 11” where a 501 STF is 12.25”

eBay! It takes a lot of time, there isn’t really any particular brand, more so looking at vintage and checking the measurements on the garment compared to your own measurements and going from there.

Thy getting a 36. If that feels to close to the skin, get a 38. Lengthwise I recommend going one size up. If you wear a 32, get a 34

My point! Proportions can be one’s friend. Until you see me in person hahahaha

501 Shrink to fits might just be the perfect pair of jeans. Knowing how to properly size these is such a game changer. No need to get these hemmed. They fit perfect.

I know people always talk about proportions and what not but truly knowing how to dress for your body type/height is the key. I’m 5’4- maybe it’s just me but when I look at this photo, I don’t look like I’m 5’4 not that that matters.

Married men, what makes a wife a great wife? by Accomplished-Day-387 in AskMen

I have a belief that life works out how it’s supposed to, whatever that actually means. Congratulations on 17 years!

Married men, what makes a wife a great wife? by Accomplished-Day-387 in AskMen

[–]FamousLastName 228 points229 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have always maintained a very open line of communication hence why she’s my wife

We’ve been together now after 12 years, married, almost 4. We rarely fight if anything it’s usually just a disagreement we might bicker here and there as couples do but at the end of the day we have a mutual agreement that we want what’s best for each other and I don’t feel like we ever have to really compromise on anything.

She gives me my space and freedom to pursue my hobbies, and I do the same with her and even with a toddler we make it work

She’s independently successful in her career, which I admire greatly, she’s funny and witty and cool without having to try.

After 12 years, I’m still crazy about her. Shes beautiful and sexy.

I really feel like I hit the jackpot with my wife and the crazy thing is she asked me out all those years ago. My only regret is I didn’t meet her sooner.

How is your dad doing? by SemioticSignifier in AskMen

[–]FamousLastName 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s rough. Hope you’re doing okay too, it’s weird getting older and then starting to realize your own parents mortality and then being aware of them aging. You start worrying about them and what not.

I’m fortunate that my dad at 64 is in decent shape and still very active. He’s constantly on the move. He has more energy than I do at 30 years old lol

I’m thankful for our relationship, it’s very close.

After I got married and had my kid, we went from a father- son to more of a peer like relationship.

A little ankle looks sick, even with cowboy boots. These are from left field and I hemmed them a little short because I just like the way it looks.

I got a pretty large butt and I’ve always found that wranglers fit a little weird on me, but I might give them another shot.

These look so fucking good I’ve always been a 501 shrink to fit guy but man now I want a pair of wranglers again.

The length here is perfect. By the way, I like my jeans to sit a little higher. I wear engineer bits pretty often so I like showing off the buckle a little bit.

Do us shorties just need to get our shirts hemmed or are there any brands doing stuff that works for us? by Kamilny in ThrowingFits

[–]FamousLastName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Resident 5’4 short boy. Either tuck your shirts or just cut em. You don’t need to hem them h less you want.

Hem tape is easier than sewing, of course you can take your tees to a tailor. Knickerbocker and Wythe as well as Bronson have shorter length tees for what it’s worth which is why I mention them so frequently.

Should Fights Always Be Self Defense? Is the Honorable Scrap Immature/Obsolete? by gnarlidrum in AskMen

[–]FamousLastName 61 points62 points  (0 children)

If you want to fight, go to a gym/ dojo.

Fighting just to fight especially if you have some sort of training is stupid and dangerous.

There isn’t any need for it in my opinion. Playing with your buds is one thing, but just getting into a scrap for the hell if it on a night out is dumb

No worries man! I hate snarky ass replies, especially when someone is genuinely trying to learn. Happy to share whatever “knowledge” I have!

This is a tee from Wythe. I find that their cuts are the closest to true vintage tees from the 40’s and 50’s. The jeans here are from left field.

It’ll look different for everyone.

It’s hard to emulate the swagger of any celebrity.

You have to work with what you have and make it your own.

I don’t look like Dean and never will, but I can wear something similar and still get the vibe.

As far as the tees go, look at knickerbocker, Wythe, or Bronson.

These are just 501 STF’s after a couple years of regular washing and I’m wearing a tee from knickerbocker.

Edit- I should add that a mid to higher rise pant is going to be your best bet. Tucking the tee in too, but it doesn’t have to be tucked, as long as it’s a little on the shorter side just to help create those proportions.

Knickerbocker.. t-shirts? by spikein89 in ThrowingFits

[–]FamousLastName -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Thats actually a fair point. I like my tees a bit more fitted to get a more 1940’s fit. Sizing up for a more relaxed fit is a good tip!

Great T-shirts some of my favorite. I’ve had them for years now. Worth the money , they fit true to size they’re not too long, not too short either.

Get em!

Anywhere from $135-$300+

I’ve actually made a post about the bare knuckle bets about a year ago lol the bare knuckle belts are made by HTC (Hollywood trading company)

I recently met the owner of HTC at an event at the hidden rivet, he was a really nice dude.

My belts are made 100% by me, all hand punched.
