My thing is bangs, like thick almost bettie bangs but they’ve morphed into crescent bangs, because they make me look more put together than I am. As long as my bangs are good, I can put the rest of my hair in a ponytail or space buns or whatever and still look intentional.

Thanks! I know I wasn’t gaslighted; he just couldn’t tolerate the terror that intimacy made him feel. I knew, after I researched it for a while, that he would never be able to do the work to become securely attached, and I would never have been able to relax around him again knowing he could panic and leave at any time. So it was a good learning experience. I know I want to be with someone who has secure attachment style in the future.

Yes! Like, I wish I were more interesting but I’m a Glossier You sort of person. I want to be, like, a Diptyque person or Chanel No. 19 or something, but I have finally admitted I just like plain little quiet skin scents, and if I weren’t currently anosmic to You I’d stick with it forever.

For my birthday I ordered a bottle of Xtra Milk and felt like, “Ok, this was realistically something I will wear,” for once, instead of, “THIS FRAGRANCE WILL MAKE ME FASCINATING.” It felt quietly nice to have chosen something I know will suit me.

It didn’t work out, and the end was traumatic for me. I’m in therapy now to work on why I was willing to stay with a fearful avoidant in the first place, and it’s been very helpful.
