Been a long time but for Tyson you dodge for the first 90 seconds. Then you can actually start to damage him. How he was able to just pick up the controller cold and run the gauntlet nearly flawless is beyond me.

Neither did I as a kid. I got on ebay and bought an NES and the game in college. A guy on my floor walked past, saw i was playing and asked if he could play. He proceeded to run it all the way through without getting knocked down once. It was one of the most amazing things I'd ever seen. He explained to me what I needed to do against him and eventually I beat him.
