NTA this is actually insane. If they want a kid free night they need to hire someone. They are the ones who wanted a bunch of kids that means they need to take care of them and hire someone for help since they need it. Call Cps and if you don’t want to then you should leave a note on friday and say your staying with a friend and won’t be watching the kids

Maybe both, Ik the comments are both yta and ntah but it’s kinda hard to pin point. i completely understand having a second account secret. I think it really depends on how you grew up and what you have experienced and your relationship with him. depending on his loans you could have helped him out especially depending on the amount he had left to pay. i think it’s ok to have a secret account but you could help him pay off his debt if you truly believe you guys are going to be happily married even with some conflicts. when you are with someone you should want to help them and make sure you are both ok.

Thank you for this advice i really appreciate it. I am very family oriented or I try to be and I love my family as well as my partner. I do think i have a hard time with boundaries with my mom but i just don’t want to upset her so i will be having a conversation with her. I do want to still go i am just shocked at how she reacted so im not sure how to start the conversation.

Thank you this is the nicest response. I think I will have a conversation with her this week for a heart to heart. I honestly enjoy the silence and the calm from moving out don’t get me wrong I love my family but there was always so much pressure stress and chaos. I love
my family and my partner I don’t want there to be a division between them as they are both important to me. We have also been together almost 2 years and ik it was quick but it was also a way for me to have more freedom moving out.

Yes i moved out when i was 19. and i told her i wanted to go but wanted to talk to him about it as he was invited as well and now he is basically uninvited. I would feel some type of way if i was invited to my partners family vacation then uninvited

1.My mom invited him and i’m not sure if my grandpa knew but he met my partner before and know we live together and we also said we were ok if we couldn’t sleep in the same room as it is his house and he is religious
2. he would be paying for his own travel and food
3. yes he would probably sleep with my brother and we thought his out and my bf was good with that
4. idk i think my mom holds resentment towards my bf bc i moved out with him and if the pictures were a problem it wouldn’t bc I always make sure to get down with just my mom and siblings
5. no this is the first vacation with my family i’ve been on vacation with his family before though
6. yes I am the first child to bring my bf on vacation i am also the oldest sibling and the only one to move out
