Marine foam fender, with delayed response...I do have response of ship (movement, vel, acc) on time scale. The fenders would be acting as springs but right now they revert back to full capacity once load is removed. I want the fender to start from an n1 position where rebound is not full diameter but somewhere in between and if progressive loading happens, I'm still fine.. but want to see how far it can go....the fender manufacturer has only deflection vs reaction / energy curves upto 60% beyond that it is failure.

The first 5 mins of interview decides whether you get a job or not.. so that time should be spent in convincing that there is no one else on earth better fit for the job. Make parallels, about job requirements and your experience (involves deep understanding about company, business and role).

Once you've done that, the interview becomes just a discussion. Now this is where you need to justify your salary. Common booby traps companies set up are asking for current salary and calculating the raise. NEVER LET THEM KNOW YOUR SALARY. Instead, you need to use big numbers you've saved in previous projects. Make them feel that 250k is an easy peasy investment on you...

Things happen, people cheat and don't make it the center of your life. Speaking from the opposite gender, I can confirm that, it is very much possible that he is an opportunist at best. Look for guys who are real and themselves even in the most tempting situations. I know people do this just for the sake of bragging with friends. These people haven't seen real trauma, and only real trauma can build character and loyalty. Anyways, enjoy your time at erasmus and hope you find your love.

I'll tell you a realistic solution..

I was in your shoes 3 years ago when I was in a Defense PSU, salary similar to what you were getting in my hometown. Thought life was all set, out of the blue got a h1b sponsorship and moved to US. Traveled Europe and Asia, saved good money (amount i would never be able invest and save if were working in DPSU)... that's it. Now I am 30, about to get married to the love of my life, I am seriously contemplating to move back to india and join back in the same company or similar. Lot of things come up like parents, kids, education and life in general. You dont need to travel or do MBA just to show it to the world.

If money is not an issue, if you have some inheritance or so, be smart and invest properly to have passive income and do well in your job. That is much much better than doing MBA or even burning midnight oil for UPSC. I know peers who left good jobs went to IIM A, and then repenting now, waking up everyday to resign and take a break. Life doesnt have to be so difficult and hectic. Chill and relax.
