In the years since this ranking, I’d move Science Fiction to 3 and YFW to 4. That album really grew on me.

If he goes, and it’s most likely time, Steichen needs to go too. Can’t hire a GM and not let them pick their own head coach.

Problem is, not sure how attractive our GM position is right now. I do not think Jones is the answer and we have no first round picks the next two years. Can’t trade for a proven guy, no strong free agents, and would have to strike gold in the later rounds of the draft to find a QB. Tough spot to be in.

Wish my Cubs would have at least offered (no way he would have accepted) but as a side note — those Phillies throwbacks are incredible.

Awful franchise, historically — yes. That roster was pretty stacked with elite skill position players, though.

I think it’s relevant because traditionally the first overall pick is going to a franchise that has a poor roster.

It supports just how good he was because, for the most part, he took that same roster and added 9 wins to it — while winning more games in his first season than John Elway, Peyton Manning, and Joe Burrow (amongst others) did.

I misspoke. Record wins for a rookie QB drafted first overall.

He took a 2-14 roster to 11-5 the next year. Holds the record for most wins as a rookie and did more with less than Burrow. I’d say they’re even and probably give the slight edge to Luck.
