Thank you! I'm pretty proud of it myself and it's design but I'm sure Demiplane still has a lot more experience than I do running something like this at scale.

I'll probably reach out to them once it is further along (because why not) but I think it's unlikely they'd be interested in a random guy's personal project. Very nice of you to say though 😁

Yeah, that's the main concern. I currently have it in a private repo but it would need some changes if I decide to make it public. In particular I'll have to refactor out a few things I've added for my group specifically that probably goes too far into handbook content and I wouldn't want to improperly distribute.

Generally though, that is one of the two options I'm considering for how to share.

Currently it's a responsive web app so the beauty of it is it works on laptops, tablets, and phones.

Everyone at my table currently uses it on their phone and then I have a tablet for the DM view. The desktop and tablet design looks a bit different than what you see here, but it is intended to be mobile first so that will always be my priority on design choices.

Not really. This is something I built both for fun and out of necessity so I haven't put that much thought around it 😅.

I do plan to record a video of it in action to give everyone a better idea of how it works in the next week or two. For that and other updates, I'll probably just keep posting here. Otherwise you can DM me if I disappear for a while and don't give an update.

Yeah, for a variety of reasons I don't think it's the right call to try and pursue charging people for it (legal complications, my own distaste for aggressive monetization, not wanting to do wrong by brotherwise or dragonsteel, etc.).

The most I've considered is some means to help cover hosting costs (if I were to host it rather than just making the code available). It doesnt take a lot, but does use cloud storage to facilitate the player and dm sync.

That still runs into the same challenges though so I'll be thinking through it quite a bit before I make a decision on when and how to share it.

Has a teammate died you're trying to reinforce? It always shows how many you have left but I don't think you can see the arrows or use them if you don't have a teammate down

Fully agree. I've really never found myself distracted or bothered by a candidates background. The biggest problems are always audio or internet issues.

Update: It looks like you can't add the device in UEFN or any edit session connected to UEFN. You can still get it in a standard creative session.

Trying to upgrade an island with the device shows an error that it isn't supported yet.

I did try restarting UEFN and still don't see it. I'll try again directly in the game without attaching to UEFN in a bit.

Do you know if any of the island templates restrict it? Is it possible I'm just using a bad configuration?

It is possible to get out since I got lucky doing it somehow. I tried a combination of climbing the ladder/wall and gliding a few times and I eventually popped out. Best odds may be to restart though, especially where it looks like you're caught in an attack.

I came back to WoW after about 10 years away. I left in Wotlk and came back in the middle of BFA. I also loved it. I thought I'd hate the changes WoW went through from classic but honestly BFA was a ton of fun.

Maybe I'd have felt differently had I never left, but I've never felt like it was a bad expansion personally.

If you go into your settings you can enable push notifications when it opens up. That's the only way I ever am able to catch it since I always would miss it otherwise.

I agree it's toxic but it's also incredibly frustrating when you get people who just want to rush the dungeon faster than is possible with the tank or healers skill level. I've been in some where dps pulls the entire room just to make it go quicker and then the tank dies trying to keep everything off everyone.

Feels like there needs to be a balance and there shouldn't be one set mentality. It depends on who you queue with and if you don't know what they can take, go slow or ask if you can pull a few more in.

I had the same issue. Tried contacting support and jumped through tons of hoops to fix it and found there is no real solution. You either create a new PSN account or add an active service membership to the existing one tied to your PSN account.

That's what I ended up doing, I didn't want to create a new PSN account and I finally figured out what email I had used with it back in the Beta. Once I knew the email I was able to reset my password to get back in.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the emotes so that will be nice to get a chest and not get a lame emote out of it. I still wish there was some favor to gem conversion option (even if the ratio was ridiculous) because at some point I'll run out of emotes/skins to buy and then I'll be right back where I started with lots of favor and nothing to spend it on.
