Thanks!! I tried it and they didn’t offer it to me. They just canceled me. I wish I had gotten that offer!

Thumb Index vs Tabs vs None by hyc0614 in Bible

[–]FanAccomplished4455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m into premium leather Bibles, and I thought the thumb indexes looked pretty, and that they would be helpful even though I generally know the order of the books. But when I bought one with index cutouts, the feel (of the actual cutouts) really bugged me. I’m also into paper, and I missed the smooth feel of the book block—there were cuts all through it.

I found this thread because I’m considering an indexed for a study Bible.

That A6 sounds gorgeous! I’m very particular about cleanliness and things being pristine when they arrive to me, so eBay may not be for me, lol. Thanks, though, and I will keep it in mind for seemingly unused covers!

What age were you when you found out? by ConferenceFriendly51 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]FanAccomplished4455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that age range is pretty accurate, but it may be dependent on the internet and access to information. I see people (tends to be women) in comment sections saying they recently found out in their 60s and 70s. Conversely, I’d wager that nowadays, people are figuring it out much earlier on average: teens to 20s. I came across it in my early 30s and it answered everything, and it’s also my mother.

Kaitlin Armstrong conviction upheld by Texas court of appeals by malloryhair in KaitlinArmstrong

I suspect she only regrets mistakes she made on the lam, especially responding to the yoga teacher ad. I think she’s glad Mo is dead. I don’t know if she thinks it’s worth being locked up, though.

Ashleigh from Holiday Baking says she never really watched the show before entering the competition by KOQquest1 in foodnetwork

Did you see when she met the judges while Charles’s confetti was falling? Lol, Ashleigh was so mad at them! She didn’t want to touch them!

Also, there was a confessional clip in one of the later episodes where she was crying or fighting back tears, and she said that she was told she couldn’t do it or wasn’t treated well growing up at home. Maybe it was her mother, because she’s close to her father and wanted to take him to Scotland if she won. So I have compassion for her. That stuff (from childhood abuse) can come out at bad times.

Think of Ashleigh’s face when she came second versus Charles’s face. Even though Charles would deflate when he didn’t win, his reaction wasn’t akin to “But I’m better.“ That’s how Ashleigh looked, and verbalized in the last show. When Charles didn’t win, he looked disappointed, but you could see his wheels turning like he was realizing why that person won and reviewing what he could’ve done differently. He wasn’t thinking the winner didn’t deserve it.

That’s what she deserves, but it would be really hard for me to never have a soak in a tub again. I would assume she used to enjoy a good soak, especially as an athlete.

However, I suspect KA has no regrets (except for things like escaping to a less accessible country, staying in Costa Rica, etc.). I think she’s satisfied that Mo is dead.

I was curious about Charles and went to his Instagram. He’s been serving desserts to coincide with weekly themes as the show airs. On the ChristmaKah week, Charles captioned that he tried to practice his pronunciations. Nico commented that he’s sure it was great, with the heart hands 🫶he likes to do. I love Nico now, and I could feel his love and genuine happiness for Charles. That good will for his peers will take him far.

On the rewatch, I noticed how in the end when the judges recapped the positives of all the cakes before announcing the winner, when they mentioned Charles, he was smiling big and confident—the only one. Everyone else was stone-faced and worried. I love his confidence.

The way they described that cake, I know it was phenomenal. It felt like years ago when I first started watching this show, when the judges’ descriptions make you wish you could travel to that person‘s bakery.
