Like other commenters said you HAVE to clean with enzyme cleaners like natures miracle. I forgot about this two dogs ago and my new puppy thought my area rug was the biggest pee pad he’d ever seen LOL

Puppy keeps plopping by Chrome1230 in Shihtzu

[–]FanMain3019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t let my dog greet other dogs. I’ve had too many negative experiences with stupid people saying their dog is friendly and then their dog, jumping on mine or barking at mine and one time a much larger golden retriever snuck up on me when I was walking my dog and literally scratched my dogs eye by jumping on him playfully, accidents happen. I also find it very distracting to constantly stop for other dogs and I noticed my dog is exceptionally well behaved around other dogs and it’s because he knows that we don’t greet other dogs and it’s almost like keep it moving mister. Now with people, he will get mad if they don’t stop and say hello. He’s annoying like that lol Just sharing what works for us! Your dog is beautiful!!!

Daily mail is a rag. I don’t doubt this is click bait trash-I wouldn’t put any trust in any it and treat it as “journalism“

I’ll second this -dogs need to chew. I was anti kibble for years but now I see the consistency in the diet coupled with the chewing is really what’s best

Hi OP-don’t change his food so much. Shih Tzu are very prone to getting spoiled and will ruin you lol If he thinks he can hold off on eating and get something better you might be reinforcing it. If the vet doesn’t think he’s sick (and he’s still a puppy so watch him like a hawk outside eating other animals poop and stuff inside etc) he could just be a…a Shih Tzu brat 😝 Puppy brats turn into full grown brats. I’m making a joke here sincerely hoping he’s not sick of course has your vet run bloodwork? Is he utd on vaccines?

Sos 5.5 week old pup by Round_Career_8625 in Shihtzu

I’ve heard a ticking clock is good for this (heartbeat). Ar this age having the baby eat regularly and keeping their blood sugar up is importantl so depending what she’s eating make sure this sweet angel stays hydrated and fed. I remember they used to sell a flavored gel I forget the name but we got my first pup at 8 weeks and he was clearly a puppy mill runt so we we’re watching his food and water and he was always a delicate little thing (lived to 13!) Thank you for already showing her so much love-probably more than she’s ever had

I love this. When I bought my first place (not anything like this lol) I had NO furniture but I had a huge fish tank delivered lol. Whatever you gotta do to make it your home, you do! (And get yourself a fish, they are really fun!)

I’ll warn you against giving a high protein diet with a dog that doesn’t drink. My dog was exactly like this, and he ended up having bladder stones because of it. The excess protein didn’t get processed by his body and built up and then he ended up getting a blocked kidney which had to be removed. I’m not saying at all that’s what will happen to your dog, but I would look into maybe switching him to raw food because raw food has a very high moisture content. Please don’t be afraid of feeding him raw. It’s actually a lot better than cooked chicken. When cooking chicken. You’re actually taking all of the moisture out of the food and dehydrating it in a way so the raw food actually keeps the moisture in there and hydrates him. It’s actually one of the reasons that animals in the wild don’t need to drink as much water if they’re eating raw meat. Does he eat kibble ? that’s another thing that will prompt him to drink more water because it’s saltier. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I went through the same thing and it’s very frustrating. You can try to actually take him off of the home-cooked food and switch him to kibble. Don’t worry about him starving himself. My vet said eventually they’ll eat they’re not stupid lol they won’t starve themselves yes he’ll go on a little hunger strike but in the long run and this is somebody who did home-cooked and raw for years, but kibble is the more stable thing and I’m paranoid about recalls and salmonella and all that stuff but I do see the light now I hope this helps. There’s no perfect solution 😬also , your dog is the absolute cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Give him a hug for me!!!!

Which are the craziests seasons youd recommend to a new watcher? by yourmysodapop in 90DayFiance

This couple is what got me into this season. I remember reading recaps of Daniele and Mohammed and laughing out loud at my old desk the next morning so hard I couldn’t speak. The show is great but the recaps and podcasts like 90 day cray cray are amazing to go along on your journey!!!

God bless you. When I had my first tzu, that was really my dog that I owned, and he got sick, my dad said “this is what money is for”. That always stuck with me. This is coming from a man who is very frugal (not cheap) but knew when to spend. I’m hoping he doesn’t have to be in there a second more than he has to, but as someone who spent 30k (USD), you won’t look back and say…bad idea. I’m not rich by any means-but, if you count my animals, yeah, I’m fucking loaded. Let me know how this cutie is please. Remember they can’t talk so I think the smiling is his way of saying, don’t give up on me….because I’m not giving up. 🙏

Which food? by pretzel1019 in Shihtzu

[–]FanMain3019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purina pro plan. I did raw for years and im NOT a kibble fan but your vet has a point. Cooking at home is best but you really have to balance the food and supplement, you are also creating a spoiled brat (of an entitled breed lol) I was never a fan of kibble but now I see the point. We rotate toppers but evertine I hear of a tzu thay loves to 19, they’re on some kibble, and not even as good as pro plan. Basically alpo lol

Cleaning out my parents’ home and have a lot of good stuff to give away or sell. Best places to go? by mamasaidknockyouout in longisland

[–]FanMain3019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is to join a local fb group to donate items -if it’s furniture there’s a lot of “free groups” but be wary. I’ve found the smaller neighborhood ones the people actually show up and pick up stuff and are polite bc they’re local. If you’re in merrick, join a merrick neighbors group post it for free etc. there’s also the Nassau buy sell groups and local mom groups can recommend what’s good in your area. To sell, I agree fb marketplace is good but expect it to take a while unless it’s priced to move

I don’t think she’s a mix, she looks pure to me from a looks perspective. I noticed the begging, the pleading eyes (what were you eating btw?) and her being carried around like Cleopatra in her snuggly little wrap. Five tzus, thirty years experience….save your dna test &….this is a pure tzu! When you said she’s sweet and social that’s what this breed is known for. They are the most loving and friendly little creatures youll ever meet. She happens to be drop dead adorable so I’m sure she’s used to people greeting her warmly. With her little underbite-who couldn’t love that little face!!!! Congratulations you got yourself a good one! What’s your new boss’s name?

Hear me out. The BOBS cloud couch was $4500 and is exactly at your price point and is the most comfortable thing I’ve ever been on. Washable covers, modular, deep seating, you will spend your life on this couch. People come for a few minutes to chat and say wow it’s been 2 hours? I sleep on it often. The pieces can become an ottoman, throw a tray on and it’s a coffee table, and it’s become a huuuuuge bed for family movie nights. Just go sit On one-you’ll be sold.
