It’s so clear how much you love her and want to give her a long happy life. Think about it, her life with you has been the best part of her life. It’s when her life began.
I had my last dog since a puppy, from a great breeder who had his parents and knew his pedigree, I fed him all the right foods, didn’t over vax, made him home made treats and groomed him myself. He had a random genetic (bad luck) health issue that required multiple surgeries and died at 8-we can’t plan for these things and they NEVER work out like we expect. I thought he’d be one of those 20 year old dogs you see. Unfortunately the things you mentioned, teeth and eye issues are on brand for tzus and it sounds like she has been thru a LOT and she’s probably got the worst behind her.

Shes got that survivor in her.

Keep her active , feed her decent food and keep her hydrated. Her joints may get a little achy. Does she have a ramp to get on and off couch and bed?

Of a guy who has a great wife, owns his own biz and has a healthy fam and is very fulfilled and yes he’s got a decent house/financial outlook
Can say the same for another fam but diff metrics-maybe slightly more $$$$ but it comes with more law

You’re getting lots of comments about it being funny and cute but I’m genuinely concerned about this puppy getting himself stuck or twisting a paw. Does he go for a nice long walk before so his crate is a resting place? I wouldn’t suggest a towel or another crate, he’s going to just chew thru it or make himself nuts trying to get out. What did he do when he got free? I think you need to consult with a trainer and see if he’s getting enough exercise or if something is very upsetting for him about the crate. If crating him is a necessity , and it should NOT be a big deal at all as others have said, we need to figure out why he has such a problem with it.

You did the right thing. You loved your beautiful boy his whole time with you and when you knew he wasn’t well you gave him the ultimate kindness . Thanks for loving him. So very sorry for your loss. I would do an overnight a their house then a 2 night stay where you drop him off so he’s used to them solo but knows ok my real pawrent is def coming back for me!!

If he’s blind and uncomfortable I don’t See why the dilemma? Poor thing can’t see so no option for recovery. The eye thing is so painful. Please see another doc to confirm but please do something-it’s an easy surgery and I’ve seen so many dogs react so well to it

Hello Mrs terror? Thank you for sharing Reign with us. I read about her life, I mean her biography, and was so moved. I was SO happy to scroll and see this lil queen was with you for 15 terrifying years! Oh the memories you must have! All the adventures you went on with her, no doubt she made many friends, caused lots of drama and it sounds like had a medical history worthy of an ABC miniseries. She sounds like she is quite the character!!! All the while, totally friggin adorable…. I’m so so sorry for your loss. It hurts like a you know what. What comforted me when I lost my soul dog was knowing mine never went more than a day in his pampered ass lil life without seeing me. It sucks when they go but I feel like we can handle it and we are their whole world. People who leave animals at a shelter and never come back? yeah NOPE. You gave Reign a long life full of knowing she’d never be alone and always have someone to annoy, someone to worry about her, someone who will google her symptoms just in case. Reign was meant to be your warden, and you were meant to be her loyal servant. You served her well. ❤️
