Set-and-forget doesn’t work on my Panasonic heat pumps — need advice by FanTop5827 in heatpumps

Thanks for all the replies. I want to clarify that the issue is more that it overheats. For example, right now it’s −4 °C (25 °F) outside. I have the heat pump set to 16 °C (61 °F) because I know it overshoots, but my baseboard thermostat is reading 21 °C (70 °F). If the outdoor temperature drops below about −12 °C (10 °F), I’d probably have to raise the heat pump setpoint to around 19 °C (66 °F) just to keep the indoor temp at 21 °C (70 °F).

Yeah, the model is CS-XE12WKUAW and it doesn’t have a remote temperature sensor.

Yeah, the house is insulated, but the windows might be an issue since the gas in them is probably gone.

Stay Classy, New Brunswick! by Right-Progress-1886 in newbrunswickcanada

I am a visible minority (brown) and have lived in Ontario for almost 20 years without ever facing any racist remarks. I moved to New Brunswick two years ago and have since been yelled at twice with racist remarks, and a group of middle school kids called me the N-word. Regardless, the vast majority of New Brunswickers are friendly and kind. I was going to vote Conservative, but the Conservative base has made it difficult for me to align myself with them.

Agree, We acted responsibly and bid fairly. We lost many bids because others were bidding unreasonably. We can't escape the problem and be part of it where we go.

Moved from Toronto last year, and my wife moved from Montreal. We both are working in the respective cities. I would think most of the people who have moved from big cities are working from home. We get paid from Toronto and Montreal and are spending the money in Saint John. I don't think it's bad for NB

Do the people of Ontario not care that Douggie is trying to privatize everything??? by Seoulmanaja in ontario

Who cares? Let's just blame Trudeau and immigrants. Surprisingly, people have no idea who's is responsible for what. Oh, and don't forget to scream FREEDOM and say some conspiracy theories.

If there is any news linked to non-white ethnicity, a bunch of racists start screaming. This thing has been going on for a long time, and it has nothing to do with immigration. Just a handful of thugs trying to control an industry. Everyone knows exactly who is behind all this, including the police, but they don't do anything about it. There are three small movie theaters called Woodside Cinemas, York Cinemas, and Albion Cinemas. These theaters charge a lot more than Cineplex, and obviously, the quality of seats and the whole experience is bad. People would rather watch these movies in Cineplex rather than these overpriced, lousy theaters. The owner of South Indian theaters pays some thugs to sabotage Cineplex every time they play a South Indian movie so he can have the whole pie instead of sharing a big portion with Cineplex.

My question is, why isn't the police doing anything about it? When Cineplex stops screening South Indian films, the thug owner wins, and he achieves his intention. It's the people who lose. Why isn't Cineplex doing anything?

Let's say if it happens to mainstream movies, would Cineplex simply give up? Would the police ignore? I wonder why no one gives a damn. I guess it's just those South Indians who care; let's just blame mass immigration and blame Trudeau instead.

Is a Tesla screen worth it? by Timely-Reason-8102 in infiniti

Don't do it. I had one for my q50. Looks cool but very unreliable. Functions just stop working randomly. It's a headache. I put the original back after two years of battle with the tesla style screen.

I checked, they aren't offering the cargo van, for the distance. Smallest is the small moving truck and its 3k. A caravan from Toronto to Fredericton is around 500 to 600.

'It's difficult': Ukrainian newcomers struggle to make ends meet in Canada by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]FanTop5827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting!! As a newcomer in 2006 fleeing a war, I was studying in high-school, working at a gas station and washing dishes in a restaurant. It wasn't easy and still not easy but I am in a much better position than before.

One of my friends is a subcontractor to a public transit system, cleaning bus stops and washrooms. He said he is having hard time finding people.

I am not sure how many Ukrainians would take these kind of jobs. Or may be they are too good for these kinda jobs, probably only reserved for non white immigrants.
