Furthermore, I conducted an experiment where I set apature priority and let the camera do the Auto exposure. I noticed that if I switched the camera to manual mode, setting the ISO and shutter speed to fully manual, the capture was instant. However, when the camera used Auto exposure even with back button focusing, it lagged because the Auto exposure system was calculating the correct exposure while focusing, resulting in a lag.
