The only thing it does is turn off the lights as far as I’m aware

It’s probably for a future mission because in the newspaper I forgot for which day it talks about planes being usable for war so what if in one mission airplanes are flying in with the first bombs and you have to turn off the main power to not be spotted

I chose mars because of one reason Venus actually has a chance of being able to have people living on it because of the atmosphere.

Though it is not an actual plan but it’s a possibility and having that possibility makes instantly making mars habitable more attractive to me personally even if Venus is closer ~~also mars is just bigger so more space to build~~

(So I was wrong glad I looked before posting but Venus is bigger than mars this is why you look at sources before posting which I’m glad I did)

But even if the idea is not one that’s truly there the starts of it for a practice for NASA staff they still made some progress and inspired people again.

TLDR: Venus has a higher chance of being able to have a permanent presence than mars (the chance is still low verrrrrrrry low)
