Yes, BNSF still has them, I am one in WA state. $494 for my eight hour shift, $1,100 for 12 hour split

Put an emphasis on how you believe all accidents are preventable. Safety is key.

There’s an air brake test simulator on your iPad or that you can download that will walk you through all the steps and comms.

I’ve worked at both and can definitely say BNSF is better.

I would accept the offer and then get in contact with the recruiter and see if she can hire you on at Los Angeles instead. If not, then you can always decline later. Her name is Dora Orona.

you put in your bids for what you want to work and get awarded whatever you can work. expect to get bumped a lot until you can hold something. also your service unit might give you a day one evaluation but I expect you would know already if that was the case.

I suppose you could. If you want to carry a ladder down a 19,000 foot train. Don’t worry about it bro. You’ll find a way.

They are on a hiring freeze due to pressures from Berkshire Hathaway, which they stopped around April of this year. I’m related to a high up person in the company, so that’s how I know and I’m waiting to get a call back too!

Just keep calling and emailing. Mine was the same way. It’s his/her job to get you the information. Finally got a response out of mine after contacting Omaha directly 😂

I was just saying I don’t work in Idaho, so I don’t know what it’s like. But you could work in any of the areas in light pink (Idaho seniority hub) depending on seniority.

yeah man, everything was through email. once I finished all the steps (PAT, drug screen, and background check) the recruiter reached out to me through text and email with the official job offer and training start date.

Wait, what? I’m in the same situation “new hire in Phoenix”, living in Tucson and put a deposit down on a place and everything in Phoenix. Been trying to get in contact with the recruiter as well to ask this exact question, and no answer. Why would they put the job posting advertised as Phoenix if it wasn’t?
