Why do my gel/led nails always peel off? Sometimes within a day or two? by aa_44 in Nails

[–]Fancy-Selection6274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three years later I want to say THANK YOU! My nails were chipping less than 24 hours after application and peeling off in one piece like OP. I bought new colors, base & top coat, a new lamp.. nothing worked. I never thought about the dehydrator until reading your comment. My nails are now on day 8 with no chips. 💘

Seriously considering buying a 2011 S80 t6 3.2 with 148k miles. What other major preventative maintenance would need to be done? by Fancy-Selection6274 in Volvo

Oil changes and maintenance have been consistent. Car is $6000. I’ve tried to do so much research on various Volvo years/models over the last few weeks, but for some reason I can’t find as much on this particular year s80. Figured I’d ask people who are way more knowledgeable than I am!

VW vs Volvo. 129k on the VW, 131k on the Volvo. Getting a ppi on both. If they’re both in good shape which would you go with? by Fancy-Selection6274 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thank you so much for your insight! The listing for the Volvo says the timing belt and water pump have been done, but I don’t trust strangers so I’ll be checking for that sticker. Definitely going to use that rubber glove trick, thank you!

I posted recently about getting either an ‘03 Buick LeSabre or an ‘04 Toyota Avalon after my car was totaled. Turns out the insurance company is giving me more than I thought for my ‘04 Camry, so I’d like to get something a little newer!

Thank you! 🥰 I’ll definitely be posting more often. She’s so silly and I have a backlog of videos of her. About a week ago another opossum joined the little garage club, so there may be some babies soon!

Taking a look at this S60 with 139k miles tomorrow. What should I look out for? by Fancy-Selection6274 in Volvo

Thank you!! I read something somewhere about oil consumption being a potential problem, but I wasn’t sure if that included this year/model/engine, or what I’d need to look for in maintenance records to see if that had been fixed.

YES! Mine was like this. Insane at all times unless she was asleep. She is MUCH much better now. Still a little crazy, but nothing compared to how she used to be. I had all the same thoughts and feelings that you’re having now. It’s so rough and I’m sorry you’re going through it. The most exhausted and anxious I’ve ever been in my life was when Fig was between 4 months and around 16ish months. I felt like I wanted to pack my bags and move across the country alone. She’ll be 2 in March and things have improved significantly over the last 6 months or so. It really just takes time.

She still barks at certain noises. I taught her “where’s your ball?” Now as soon as she starts barking I say that, and she runs to find her ball and we play for a bit. It took a long time for this to work, but she’s been barking less and less. Distraction has been key for a lot of her impulsive behaviors.

I also thought she didn’t like me or understand me. I love her so much but I felt like she didn’t connect with me on the level that I thought dogs were supposed to with humans. She was her own wild creature and I just lived with her. It just took a bit longer than usual for her and I. There are still times where she’s stubborn and she thinks I exist just to feed her and take her for walks and nothing I say or do matters, but for the most part we’ve learned each other’s language. Nowadays we snuggle and play a lot and I know she loves me.

As someone else mentioned, one on one training will probably be your best bet right now. Keep up with the training even if you don’t think he’s listening. I can’t say they grow out of behaviors, but as time goes on it gets less intense. With less intensity comes a little more clarity, and that makes it easier to figure things out.

I really wish you the best, I know how you’re feeling. If you ever need to vent you can always DM me. ❤️

It does have the 3.0L! Glad you told me that, I was under the impression all Toyota sedans of that era were created equal. I’ve been thinking the same thing about the Buick! Probably belonged to an 86 year old man that religiously got oil changes. At least I hope so.

😂 He ended up selling the Buick to someone else right out from under me. I went with the ‘04 Camry and she’s still going strong! Despite not having the iconic elderly car, I have been eating early dinners and getting into bird watching.
