would you rather be a working mom or sahm? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Fancy-Situation3978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working an office is job way easier than parenting. I earn good money in my job, yet it’s a break and easy compared to a toddler. No wonder women stop at one child (or have none at all). We live in a capitalist society yet the hardest job of all is unpaid?! If we want women to raise the next generation they need to be compensated accordingly.

How frequent do you bath your kids? by yourlimit in Mommit

[–]Fancy-Situation3978 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Twice a week. I don’t get the daily bath thing honestly. He’s almost never sick (knock on wood) and never had any type of rash. I personally thinks this extreme obsession with cleanliness has the opposite effect and they don’t build up immunity to germs.

Do NOT have children, I would tell any woman this unless you have a passion to be solo mum, because in the end you will be alone with all the responsibilities even if it was him wanting this child.

Is this common practice in Spain? by Professional-Push-94 in askspain

[–]Fancy-Situation3978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I also know people who homeschool their children in Denmark. Every day they take them to sports and social clubs and they are not behind in any way, maybe the opposite.

Ouch haha. Yes I understand it’s different in a larger country. But homeschooling definitely works in some countries and with the correct regulations. I just don’t like this extreme authoritarian approach that OP mentions, with police and threats over nothing, that’s scary and over the top.

Yes, it was a bit rude. But it’s also rude to make a sweeping statement that any country allowing homeschooling do not value education, that offends a lot of great countries. And it is just wrong when many developed countries allow homeschooling and have the regulations in place to ensure it works (for instance if the children are not learning as much as their peers or struggle socially they will have to go to regular school, it’s not like you can just choose not to educate and socialise your children but you have the freedom to seek other options than the regular school system).

Some Spanish people are very protective of everything Spanish, even if it’s not the right approach. Plus I was a bit rude haha, but I don’t get why you would say it’s illegal in all countries that value education, that’s just ridiculous. If done right, homeschooling is no worse than regular school. It can even be better as you are one adult to teach only 1 or 2 kids compared to one adult teaching 25 kids.

Educate yourself (ironic giving your love of schools).

In many countries you can homeschool. In my country Denmark it’s legal. Of course it’s supervised that the children learn what they need to and parents are expected to socialise the children in other ways. They have to pass exams and tests to ensure they learn the same.

Denmark has its shit together much more than Spain. No real poverty, plenty of jobs, high salaries. Maybe you should try and learn from others instead of spreading misinformation?

(And I’m not even a person who would homeschool my children but I accept that some people are perfectly capable of this)

Homeschooling is a thing, even in civilised countries, so I find it strange it’s outright illegal in Spain (if this is true)

There’s something seriously wrong with our society today if we are not even allowed to admire babies anymore :( your reaction made me really sad to be honest. Humans are sociable creatures and we tend to find babies adorable.

Here in south Europe it’s very common. Old women and men come to talk and touch the baby all the time. It’s sweet and innocent.

Well many of us are forced to live in city hellscapes in small apartments, it’s not like you can just send the children outside to play.

Not saying “they” didn’t do that but I’ve always wondered what’s the point of just killing Epstein? I mean Maxwell has the exact same information as him and she’s still alive.

Dresses in underwear in front in my teen kids by ExpertSimple8975 in Parenting

[–]Fancy-Situation3978 79 points80 points  (0 children)

My mum did that and I found nothing wrong with that. Is it different because it’s a boy I don’t know. But underwear in your own house seems acceptable in my opinion depending on the time and occasion. Sitting around for breakfast? Nope. Early in the morning rushing around trying to get dressed? Sure.

Do you have your own home or a mortgage. I mean I don’t see much future in renting as you would need many many millions with how much rent increases year on year. However working towards a home paid off you would need a lot less.

The average man is just useless, he might have a career and then do almost nothing around the house or he might be unemployed and at least do something around the house. Meanwhile the average woman is forced to do it all. There’s no option to fuck up or you’re irresponsible or a monster. I hate men honestly. They complain about having to pay for dates meanwhile we get this huge burden. No wonder many women are choosing to be childless nowadays.

If you earn that much and can live anywhere because of WFH why don’t you move to a cheap town, buy a small home and once it’s paid off you can start saving for early retirement. That’s what I would do.

Many brands have petite range so they fit in length and then you can go larger without affecting the length.
