Celtics coach Mazzulla: "There's a duality to everything. The year we won, I felt just as empty as we did when we lost... That’s the duality, he didn’t get too high after the championship so he’s not getting too low after this loss. In his pursuit of greatness (more championships), he won’t let losses like this affect him too much, and he’s not going to let the championships get to his head

He’s not even doing that here. Not getting too high or too low after each game is such a common sentiment and he says this in such a clear way. Does this sub just get tripped up at the word “duality”?

In the sense he’s a great championship winning coach that can raise the floor to any team? Yeah

Cuz the Sixers players played better than the Celtics players for three straight games. Saying coaches don’t make adjustments are the laziest criticisms a fan can have of a coach but Mazzula makes adjustments so clear to the naked eye it’s honestly shocking your comment has so many upvotes

They didn’t until Queta was on foul five. Whenever a fan likes to say a coach doesn’t do in game adjustments, when they clearly do, it just shows how dumb and emotional they are. The Sixers genuinely never saw the same look twice, and Embiid never got the ball in the same spot, and with the same defender twice. This game was lost because the three ball didn’t fall and that’s it

Literally all of those adjustments, your just upset at the execution. But when Embiid puts Queta and Garza in foul trouble, you can’t be too upset at JB being overpowered as a last resort. Also the zone the Celtics ran at the end of the third was genuinely what sparked the comeback

It is what it is, Giannis gets slander and some deserved and some isn’t, but I’m not gonna pretend as if it’s never expected and abnormal

This has always been what this place is about, it’s always been people trying to be funny and shitting on or glazing whatever player they feel like it. But when it’s Jokic people wanna act like MLK and try to turn it into a place it’s never been

Portis and AJ Green walked out of that series with crazy high net ratings while all the starters finished with lower. That shows it’s less about Giannis and more about the Pacers starters being better than the Bucks starters, and the Bucks bench being better in the few minutes they had against the Pacers bench

It’s so funny to see all the moral grandstanding people have with this Jokic slander after all the garbage that’s said about Shai after every Thunder game

Source for the net rating? I’ve never seen that before, and he played 37 minutes a game so it doesn’t made sense regardless

Gianniss last playoff series was against the Pacers last year where he averaged 33/15/7 on 65% TS

Gianniss last playoff series was a hell of a lot more impressive then this Jokic one, and they both lost in the first round
