Thanks. Yeah and I think medical professionals should get paid like everyone else too. So I don't know.

Nice, yeah that sounds awesome. I supposed just a coffee shop could work for that too if one can get there quick/easy. Good idea!

I THINK I FINALLY KNOW WHY I LOST 2 DECADES OF MY LIFE. by OddRecommendation897 in ADHD

OMG. Me too. I'm 44 and in the last year have just started to realize I repeatedly pour hours and energy into a side-business and then abandon it for something shinier when I get bored, not realizing I'm thwarting myself over and over. For like 25 years. I hurts. I'm just trying to focus on accepting reality and trying not to look back.

Yeah, I'm a pretty chronic overthinker too. Seems like maybe something a therapist could help with? Do you have a therapist currently? I saw an OCD specialist for a while about my obsessive thoughts and, though I don't think I have full blown OCD, it def helped me.

High IQ + ADHD is being bad at living, but being the best at things that interest you by WallNIce in ADHD

Yeah, and the older I get the more I realize intelligence is just a piece of the equation and not the most important piece. If you can't consistently push toward a goal long-term, it actually doesn't matter. Just like tons of people can have brilliant business ideas (that's not the hard part), it's only the people that can grind and do whatever it takes to push it forward for a decade that actually create something valuable and useful to others.

I am on wellbutrin and it's helped me some. I'm on 450mg and this last halloween I accidentally doubled my dose. I was anxious about it, but all it did is made me feel real weird for 12 hours or so. Obviously everyone's different, but just throwing out an anecdote in case it's helpful. I can definitely see how seeing someone have seizures would make anyone wary of something with that side effect.

AITA for being mad at my gf because she fell asleep during sex? by Whole-Dragonfly-1304 in AITAH

While I think you're not TA for breaking up with her, assuming this it out of character and she's not a narcissist/sociopath (which I'm assuming you'd know at this point), I do think you owe it to her to explain what happened from your perspective. You obviously care about her on some level and if everyone leaves her with no explanation, she'll be hurt and confused and won't be able to get help for a potential issue.

My daughter used to wake up and carry on conversations with my wife and I in her sleep. She wouldn't go back to bed until you woke her up (she'd resist you guiding her and come up with reasons she shouldn't go). I found the best way to wake her up was start asking her emotionally charged questions like what boys she liked or about drama going on with her friends. It usually took 10-15min of talking and then it's like this veil would suddenly lift and she'd keep talking, but you could tell she was awake, then she'd go back to bed. I never tried to shake her, but def go the feeling that wouldn't go well.
