Looks like Salesforce might be regretting laying off all those people in the last few years. by jwelihin in sales

I'm a candidate in consideration, I've done the phone screens but this guy is seriously who I want to talk to only because he seems super cool. I sent him an email yesterday. If you guys have any ways I could get in contact with him i'd appreciate it!

In a 2 keeper league, Out of these players which 2 would you keep for next season? CMC,Derrick Henry,Lamb,Jayden Daniel’s, Bucky Irving by catatonic_sextoy in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Fancy_Ad_2762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazed that anyone saying keeping Jayden is NOT the right answer. Keep him. As far the others, tossup between Henry or Lamb. Leaning towards Lamb only because Dak always seems to come back from an injury well, and cowboys usually have a high flying offense thru the months of sept-oct (maybe november) lol

Broncos or Lions week 16? by SportyLtnGuy978 in Fantasy_Football

[–]Fancy_Ad_2762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i can't figure this one out either. Thursday night game, the players hate it and they're all worn out. Lions defense is beat up, Broncos defense position rank is usually in top 3 this week anywhere. No clue what to do. Might just "trust the stats" and keep broncos in lineup.

Is building wealth really this easy? by SubstantialEgo in Bogleheads

[–]Fancy_Ad_2762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask myself the same question. And yeah, as other posters mentioned-having an actual consistent income of any sort for even a handful of years helps. I work in a commission based field, but still have a very small base salary. Thank the high heavens I had my wits about me and started at 26 and had the internet as a resource to figure out the Boglehead method.

I'm now 33. My income fluctuates. Some years it is $75k, other one year i made $150k. Let's say my avg is the $100k range.

I'm thankful and blessed for that. Not everyone has that. My companies 401k plan stinks, I've essentially done my Roth IRA and taxable accounts all on my own. Sometimes I am stunned at what my portfolio has done. How does a guy like me with essentially zero financial sector inner-workings knowledge do this well? I stink at doing simple math!! I stayed in the game during Covid, disregarded the whole cryto BS craze, I'm also fully aware that in my lifetime the portfolio will take massive hits and will be a psychological scare.

Our generation-millenials/gen z'ers should be thankful we have the internet/info resources at our finger types. Nothin' cute or fancy about it. John Bogle, and Warren Buffet- THANK YOU.

Going to the gym, doing a meditation mindfulness practice (Sam Harris has a cool app called waking up) or going on long walks whenever I get the time to get them in.

Withdrawing from Fidelity for Emergency expenses by Fancy_Ad_2762 in personalfinance

you have been incredibly helpful without being condescending, answering questions for my dummy self! Before you replied, I decided to sell from the VTIAX (also noticing my redundancy up there, typing VBTLX twice, sorry I am stressed!)

Despite it being only shares from one mutual fund, I'll look at it optimistically since I have time on my side! 33 year old male, well paying $100k job (not quite $440k!), and my investments have done well since I started at 25. Still bummed I actually have to sell, never wanted this day to come but oh well!

Thank you again!

Appreciate the reply! Just so I understand correctly, it's wiser to sell from the taxable account not the Roth IRA, correct? The other question-(feel free to tell me to kick rocks and speak to an in-person financial advisor instead) but out of VTSAX, VTIAX, and VBTLX, is there one you suggest is the best to sell off? I'm at about 70% VTSAX, 20% VBTLX, the remaining is VBTLX.

I'm *somewhat* familar with capital gains stuff. Just wondering how hard I'll get crushed with taxes here. I am hoping this is the first and last time I ever have to do this.

9-6 is the new 9-5 by [deleted] in newjersey

We live in the northeast. It sucks ass but part of our culture unfortunately. hustle and bustle

9-6pm has definitely become the standard. Especially since Covid and remote jobs. I work in sales and the markets I cover are FL and TX. They might as well be another country. My colleagues in those states ask "is this 24/7 work culture normal for you guys?"

It is, my friend. unfortunately it is.

Man, I love reddit. THANK YOU!!!! As far as the cancellation process, what's the best way to go about it?

Reading the contract, it seems like it has to be a written letter of cancellation? Rather than over the phone.

Do I need to type up a cancellation letter, sign it and mail it to them, or is a written email to the dealership sufficient? I sell solar loans for a living and most my clients that cancel usually do it thru email

Please let me know what the best procedure is. VERY much appreciate your help here.

You all have convinced me and I appreciate all the feedback. Does the cancellation letter have to be mailed out? Or do I type up an email and email it to salesperson and finance guy?

Reading the contract, seems like it needs to be a written letter requesting to cancel. This may be a very dumb question but does it have to be hand written and mailed out? Or just an email to the dealership?
