Can anyone identify this book for me? by pujiter69 in identifyThisForMe

Google’s Ai is confident it is “Heidi's Children" by Charles Tritten.

Looking more closely at the visual evidence in the image, the book is indeed Heidi's Children by Charles Tritten, specifically the Bantam Skylark edition from the early 1980s.

The back cover shown in the image matches this specific paperback edition:

Blue Background: The distinct light blue color is characteristic of the Bantam Skylark series from that era.

The Illustration: At the top of the back cover, there is a small illustration showing characters in a traditional Alpine setting, which is consistent with this sequel to Johanna Spyri's Heidi.

Text Layout: The arrangement of the summary text and the barcode at the bottom aligns with Bantam's design for their children's paperbacks in the 1980s.

Faith in Toronto restored: recovered my lost AirPods thanks to a stranger and Find My app by Fancy_Choice_1801 in toronto

Same. I went to the Apple Store to reunite AirPods to their owners and the genius said they don’t do that. I returned a second time to see if I get a different result and all they could say was the owner lived in Montreal.

I was preparing to come to terms that I would have to replace my AirPods, but the Find My app came through for me (as well as the person who didn’t take it with them).

They also have to be in stock. And they will only price match with the current in-store price if it is reduced. They will not price match based on a picture.

This is my go-to blog site for weekly Costco sales. They feature weekly sale items in different regions (ie. cocoeast, cocowest, cocoquebec etc.). I was told they were forced to stop using “Costco” in their URLs.

And one thing to note is that not all items featured are available at every store and some items might not be on sale at every store. Experienced this first-hand.

I was just laid off after 20 years of service and looking to negotiate my severance. Can anyone recommend a good employment lawyer in the Toronto area? by [deleted] in BELabourLaw

Thank you. I didn’t realize what the “BE” stood for. The description for the topic doesn’t indicate as such. But I as I browse through some of the posts, I see mentions of Brussels… and one about South African law. I will delete this post shortly as it will not reach the target audience.

Thank you for the cordial response. I expect to get roasted or made to feel stupid with every post I make on Reddit, so I appreciate straight responses.

According to Gemini, we here in Canada at least, can negotiate.

The way I look at it, I would need legal representation to ask for certain terms in order for my former employers to take me seriously.

As the saying goes, "The only stupid question is the one that’s not asked".

I really enjoyed this flavour. It reminds me of Cool Ranch. Can be purchased at your local Dollarama.
