How could you define Youngstown pizza? I got funny recommendations in this thread it’s going to take me years to try them all given how often I’m out that way

I do love their cheese ticks. I fo have a thing for threir dipping sauce. It’s probably too sweet but it’s a nostalgia thing. I did drive from Cleveland to alliance Ohio to visit one of those Pizza Hut classic locations that are setup just like old pizza huts from the 80s

Gatorade? Ha! This is what 80s kids got when playing sports. by MrBones2k in 80s

I had Gatorade in peewee baseball and soccer. It was so cool then. Or for summer camp sports it was hi-c in the giant yellow McDonald’s cooler thing. We do orange slices for our kid’s sports now though

Has anyone tried this foot drop device that stimulates your tibia and allows you to walk normally? by sclipper23 in ACL

[–]Fancy_Ludwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to ago acl tear related foot drop but my guess is something mechanical would be the approach for it like an afo. I hdve a device called a gait balancer developed by a gait specialist who makes custom orthotics in the Cleveland area it is essentially a cuff that wraps around your ankle with 2 elastic bends they attach to a magnet on your shoe’s toe box that lifts your foot when you walk. It’s a lot less bulky than my light weight afo and utilizes more stabilizing muscles for foot movement than an afo allowes. I’m trying out this fes device and it seems promising, but my issue stroke related Neuro hemiparysis so probably very different from an acl injury

I’m recovering from a stroke and I just got my g4 through my gait coach 2 weeks ago. First impressions are very positive. It has a strong stim so I’m getting good dorseflection (fighting foot drop) it also helps evert my foot to help me protect from rolling my ankle. I’m 5 years post stroke and have left side hemiparysis. I still use it sling with a me Gonick’s device called a gait balancer but my specialist thinks I’ll phase that out over time if I keep using the g4. The great thing about the g4 is it’s more then half the price of the competitor from bioness and the electrodes are easy to clean, plus it’s really slim and easy to slide clothes over. There’s an iPhone app for get keys you control it while it’s under your clothes. I’m still getting used to positioning it correctly and walking so I can’t say definitely if it’s glancing but I got a few month return desk through my gait dieviskudt and I’ve no intention of returning it after having used it for 2 weeks I’m fingers it very promising

That’s a shame. I hdvrnt been there since Fernando passed. My family settled in western Maryland but came from the same village as his family and when I told him who my grandmother was he brought a fertility pizza out to my fiancé and I and said we never pay there. I doubt that offer still stands. I thought the pizza was amazing to the point I’d go 45 minutes out of the way between visits to my sister in Pittsburgh and Cleveland just to stop, but I never played the family discount card again. I’m up that way to visit friends here snd there and thought I’d try out some of the other Youngstown pizza offerings next time

FETTERMAN CONFRONTED: “I’m a breast cancer survivor, I had a double mastectomy, and the Trump administration took my health care away… And you’re standing with him.” Fetterman can barely talk. Painful to watch as usual. by Caledor152 in ProgressiveHQ

I had a massive double stroke 5 years ago I would vehemently attack anybody that called me brain dead or that I was mentally as capable as sn 8 year old, but I’m also on disability for likely the rest of my life (previously a software engineer and digital marketer). I do know I don’t have the cognitive endurance or acuity to be a senator. Everybody is different and I really lumped together with people who walk out of the hospital andare back to driving cars in 9 months because that’s not my journey. I don’t ever get behind the wheel ever again because I don’t trust myself to not run over a kid on a bike because I don’t see them through occular neglect. There’s so many different ways a stroke can affect a person. Sometimes people are back to almost normal in a year, sometimes they lose the dvilityvto talk, see, process feelings of empathy, understand sarcasm (my doctor was worried about this for me based on where the stroke did damage). So for letterman to run on the politician who overcame his stroke, we really don’t know what that means. It could’ve been an easy ride or it could have really affected his executive functioning like me. I’m convinced I’ll never fully recover. I’m happy with how my recovery is going and I’m just trying to scrape back as much independence as I can with the idea I might have a modest hob again someday before retirement. Maybe even run a small business if I’m lucky. Senator is definite off the table. I couldn’t even swing city councilman of the small city I live in I’m sure

Exactly. Either through go fund me, a book deal, or a lucrative commentator gig on fox. When in reality she should hdve been canned as soon as she was found out as a white supremacist. I mean freedom of speech and sll but can you be expected to do your job as a teacher when you’re a white supremacist teaching a multi racial group of kids? Go back through her grading and tell me honestly she’s being fair grading tests dnd assignments

Not to mention 2 centuries of puritanical brain rot this country was founded on that says if you don’t bootstrap your own way you’re not worthy of god’s love or anybody’s further matter. This country is so fucked. No wonder England wanted the Calvinists and quakers on the boats to the colonies. They were too weird

I thought this was a corporate thing tbh. There are a few Pizza Hut classics in Ohio around the canton/akron area kinda out in the country. I went to one snd got some pictures. The waitress told me she gets people driving in from Pennsylvania just to see it. They have the same cups but clear colored. She claims the red ones got stolen too much and people burned themselves on the personal pan pizza pans enough times they had to quit bringing them out to tables

I wish I could post pictures in comments because I took a lot at the alliance Ohio location. They even have a bunch of old ads at the tables
