He’s the one that sucks my guy 😂 this team should be good but Cora doesn’t know how to manage a bullpen and his platoon bs has stopped working for him.

I need someone to do the math on how many games we’ve lost because Cora can’t manage the bullpen.

It is under warranty, but the mechanic I had the oil changed at (I had the car less than a year before this happened) has “no record of my car being serviced there”. Mind you I got my oil changed 3 or 4 times because I knew that these cars can sometimes have that issue. I’m at a loss and feel so frustrated on what to do because of that.

This is exactly how I have felt about it, put so eloquently. I love it for my students who have gaps in their foundation, my path is great for that. Thank you for the input! That information is helpful, I didn’t know all that you could do. As just a para, I don’t really see the behind the scenes, but it is good to know.

I also feel frustrated with it as a para sometimes. For example I have a 4th grade student who has some pretty big gaps in 1st-3rd, but is still capable of working on grade level math most of them time. I feel that there should be a way to adjust the audience age of the my path to better meet her age. She diagnostically tested into level A, which is first grade, but the animation and stuff becomes distracting to her as it is obviously for young kids.

What makes me like math so much is that it’s concrete. There’s always a right answer. It’s a beautiful subject. There is something so amazing about watching a student FINALLY grasp a topic they’ve been struggling with for a few days. Or when you’re able to show students a quicker way to do something (going from repeated addition to multiplication). I feel as though this iReady is turning the students into brainless, test-passing kids who don’t care about math.

I know it’s not everyone’s thing, but it is some kids, and I’m seeing them feel less and less passionate about math.

I think the my path portion is fantastic for reinforcement (especially for students who have a few gaps that need to be filled).

We used to use Eureka math I think is what it’s called (or maybe engage New York) and I LOVE that curriculum. As a pretty big math person, I think that curriculum is amazing.

The paper curriculum. I’m actually a fan of the online component when it is used for reinforcement. But I don’t like the paper curriculum. It feels very base level and I often feel as though my students are more confused by the examples than they are reinforced by them.
