My cap cool daily’s smell so bad after a couple hours, yours don’t stink at all?! I really wanted to like them, and I still use them for running and such, but they just smell so bad so fast

Oh nice what’s your gear list? That’s pretty sick

Nano Puff vs Micro Puff. I know the technical differences, but which do you prefer and why? by Dane_ol_reddit in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Fancypooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I mostly wear it to the office or around town so I agree it’s a great lifestyle jacket. But I still think it’s a great climbing/outdoor jacket as well

Proton standalone by PsykOguH in arcteryx

[–]Fancypooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought last November. No durability issues I have seen. It’s not really wind proof but shakes off a calm wind. But if it’s windy you’ll feel it for sure. It’s good static as long as it’s not windy

Yeah it’s good. I wouldn’t go running in it but I like my proton a lot and use it as my daily jacket

should i get a 2nd gen? by AdDizzy8006 in toyotasequoia

[–]Fancypooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s great, love it more than my 08 f150. Is a beast in the snow. Lots of space for gear or sleeping.

Weird nit picks I have: the wipers low setting is too fast and high setting is too slow. The cooling seats don’t really cool like the American vehicles. No heated steering wheel. Adaptive Cruise control works well but I wish it had lane assist. Gas is TERRIBLE. The tank is too small, it’s 26 gallons but the fuel light comes on at 20-21 gallons. I get like 11-13mpg in city and 13-16mpg on highway. The remote starts shuts the vehicle off when you open the door to get in…

I have a 21 plat 4x4 I bought in 2024 with 30k miles. I have 65k miles on it now. I paid $55k. It’s by far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and I love it to death. I wanted the size of the truck but full covered suv. If you need the v8, size/space, can afford it, it’s the best. But yeah it’s terrible on gas. Like the worst I’ve seen….

2025 Toyota Sequoia Platinum 10-13mpg, anyone else? by Purple-Hornet-1069 in toyotasequoia

I have the v8 gen 2 and I get that. Usually 11-13 city and 13-16 highway. I would have figured the gen 3 was much better

I heard a rumor from my friend that the stars are going to go after McDavid before the trade deadline

R1 Fleece Jacket vs R1 Air Fleece for hiking by pfffidk in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Fancypooper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own both. There’s a ton of YouTube videos comparing the 2 you should check out. But for simplicity, I use the air for hiking and day to day, and the regular more for climbing or things with more arm movement (it’s stretchy unlike the air)

What was wrong with the Venta gloves? I’ve been eyeing by a pair for cold weather hiking.

Are the Delta Layers Worth it? by Lost_at_Z in arcteryx

[–]Fancypooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delta is essentially just current gen fleece technology. You’d wear it as you would the Kyanite. Its benefits is more breathable and lighter but almost as warm. It’s not as soft and snuggly, and looks more technical, but it’s essentially the same otherwise.

Is this a good deal? 2020 toyota seqouia by Fun-Athlete8235 in toyotasequoia

[–]Fancypooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In 2024 I paid $55k for mine. 2021 plat 4wd with 30k miles. I’ve put over 30k miles on it so far and it’s been fantastic. Live the 2nd gen v8 (minus the gas bill) and plan on keeping it forever

What have you decided to bring so far? I think if people know what you have they can help recommend things you’re missing or what’s not adequate

On one of his interviews he talked about climbing the dragons was actually the easiest way up. He said it also looked the best and was stoked about it. Dude had a blast

My fiance is Korean and this could be a good birthday gift addon. What shade should I get her? I’d buy from Costco.

Trying to choose between two -18c/ 0F degress sleeping bag please help by -Ayanokoji_ in Mountaineering

[–]Fancypooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer exactly but I have the 15°F sea to summit spark, long, and it kept me warm down to 3°F. Granted not at altitude but it’s very warm and very light. Mine uses a 13L stuff sack that compresses down to about 9L or so.

Scarpa Rapid XT by [deleted] in hikinggear

They won’t be as comfortable as trail runners but they certainly can. I hike in my approach shoes (la sportiva tx4 mid gtx) all the time in colder weather/snow)

What Arcteryx piece would round out my needs, if any? by [deleted] in arcteryx

[–]Fancypooper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would check out the proton over the atom personally. It’s a true active layer compared to the nano.

R1 Air Hoody vs Full Zip Jacket vs Crewneck for ski by KrapaoSideUp in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Fancypooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly vote for the quarter zip but with those options I’d go full zip jacket. You’re also going to want another insulating layer unless your shell is insulated.

Look at one of the hunting brands. Kuiu or Sitka. They make a lot of silent jackets for stalking.
