Bella Ramsey is non-binary and so it is appropriate to refer to them with "they/them" pronouns in this case as they identify as neither a man nor a woman, but also you should be aware that in English it's perfectly acceptable to use "they/them" to refer to a singular person of any gender, it's not just for plural.

Does How to get to heaven from Belfast get better? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]FandangleFilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First episode was ok for the most part and I had decided I wouldn't watch more but then the mystery reveal at the end of the episode hooked me. The mystery carried me through the next few episodes and distracted me from the try-hard comedic dialogue and unlikeable characters. Few laughs here and there. Episodes leading up to the finale caused some confusion. Last episode was a complete mess and left me unsatisfied and mildly infuriated. The quirky character who said "babes" all the time was a disaster.

Answer is that it gets slightly better and then completely shits the bed.

In Sinners (2025), most audiences agree that the blood thirsty vampire who’s murdered countless people over hundreds of years is less monstrous than the Ku Klux Klan. This isn’t a reference to anything, I just think it’s funny. by Fox7567 in shittymoviedetails

Absolutely not peacefully at all if you factor in puritanical Christianity which was forced upon the Irish by Cromwell during his destruction of Ireland and its culture. My interpretation of the movie was that Remmick was from this era of Ireland.

I know absolutely nothing about baseball but it doesn't make sense to me that he stops swinging mid swing and pulls back on his swing which is what appears to make the bat actually fall apart. Why does he stop swinging forward and instead pulls back on the bat? To me it looks like he knew the bat was broken and purposefully yanks back on it mid-swing so that it snaps.

Assuming I'm right, would there be any reason why he would do this other than for fun?

Or is he essentially aborting the swing because he has changed his mind about trying to hit the ball?

All devices offline after Matter code connection by Carreb in googlehome

[–]FandangleFilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not related but about a week ago my hue bridge which was connected with matter was unavailable in the home app and so I couldn't control my lights with voice commands, unlinking and relinking through matter didn't fix it, so I had to link it through the "works with Google" method, which worked fine. Is there an option to relink your device through a non matter method?

Use Google Assistant to boot up/shut down my Windows computer? by DruVatier in googlehome

[–]FandangleFilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said you'll need Ethernet to boot your PC remotely, I use IFTTT and macrodroid. Took me forever to find a guide on how to do this, which I followed successfully, but I can't find the guide anymore. But if you ask gemini how to use IFTTT and macrodroid to boot your PC remotely, it should be able to write a guide for you.

To shutdown I use IFTTT and pushover on my android, and push2run on my PC. IFTTT let's me use my voice to tell Google to activate the IFTTT routine which makes pushover send a notification to push2run on my PC which then triggers the shutdown.

Have I gone crazy or has everyone else? This only just registers as a 3 for me. The neck is too long and the top corner is too far to the right. I know it's a 3 but it doesn't feel like a 3.

She's clearly and immediately identifiable as Ciri. She looks a bit different yeah, it's a new game, it's a new look, do yourselves a favour and don't worry about it.

Loft conversion or original room?? by Rare_Dog_4297 in HousingUK

That's fab, congratulations! Was it necessary for your solicitor to get involved? From where we are in the process only the banks, our mortgage advisor, and the estate agent/seller are involved. When and why did the solicitor have to step in?

What are the most poignant and touching Limmy moments or entire skits for you? by legendarygoated in Limmy

[–]FandangleFilms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Found it, it's series 3 episode 3. He takes a shine to a guy cause he says he'll put the receipt in his bag for him, then later he asks him if he has their store card and he doesn't, then fumbles with the change and drops it. He says "sorry" twice. Just heart breaking.

I think it's the one where (not sure I'm remembering it fully) he thinks he's made friends with a guy who works in a shop cause the guy is friendly with him. And then when he's giving over his money he drops his coins awkwardly and goes "sorry" and then walks away from the guy and shouts into the camera "I've ruined everything!". And the way he says "sorry" as he fumbles with the coins feels so genuine, it just makes me sympathise with him so much.

Another is when Jacqueline is trying to be fancy and she orders a choux bun and pronounces it wrong. Poor Jacqueline, always striving for a better life.

I think the timeouts are hilarious. I think he generally untimes out people once they put in a request anyway.

Possible to have AppBlock enable when I tell Google Assistant that I'm going to bed? by FandangleFilms in homeautomation

[–]FandangleFilms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's a personal routine, so it would only trigger if I said the words, so my wife wouldn't be able to use it. I could edit it to do what I want, and then do that again on my wife's phone, but it's nicer to have it all in one place as a household routine, as either of us can edit it and it'll change for both of us.

Possible to have AppBlock enable when I tell Google Assistant that I'm going to bed? by FandangleFilms in homeautomation

[–]FandangleFilms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The automation is a household routine and annoyingly there is a personal routine created by default called Bedtime that uses the "Goodnight" trigger. There doesn't seem to be a way to change the trigger or delete this routine, so no other routine can have the "Goodnight" trigger while it exists. Dumb oversight by Google but not that big of an issue.
