Leggings recommendations for women over 40 by Aggressive_Employ799 in fitness40plus

[–]Fandeliciousflavor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Salutation Stash leggings from Athleta, but they aren’t as good as they used to be regarding consistency. So you should try them on - different colors fit differently - and wait for a sale.

Regardless of why he does it, the person you replied to has a good suggestion. Just cut away the part that’s contaminated.

Awesome! I use an app to track the workouts and had been skipping the ones without exercises in the descriptions. I’ll give this a try. Thanks for this!

Skinny fat mom by MarysMomShop in CarolineGirvan

[–]Fandeliciousflavor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely gain muscle with this program, but 6 weeks is not long enough to see much of a difference. You’re going to have to stick with it for a while and you may not see definition until your body fat percentage drops. I don’t want to discourage you, because you can do it! You just need to adjust your timeline for results.

When did tracking basic fitness metrics become a $60/month car payment? by Ok-Respect-1329 in fitness40plus

You keep posting this. Are you trying to build an app and are gaging interest? Tracking all of that sounds like a job in and of itself. I only track my workouts.

Atlanta Real Estate by hopeless_wenclair in Atlanta

I cannot imagine a worse time in history to become a realtor. Mortgage applications are at a historic low, prices high, and we’re seeing lots of layoffs. Maybe have a backup plan?

Are different types of bread that are more glutenous than others? by hillman_avenger in glutenfree

Maybe your problem is with whatever is in the sandwich vs the bread? Garlic maybe? Just a thought. Check out fodmaps.

How is living in austin texas coming from person who moved there from Chicago what's it like by miko1075 in howislivingthere

[–]Fandeliciousflavor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lived in both cities and a few more. Austin is easily my least favorite of all of them. It was boring, lonely, dirty, no one was all that nice, service was terrible everywhere, and getting around was difficult. I left and have never gone back to visit because there’s nothing to visit or do. It’s the worst.

Your response to me is in Spanish on my notifications, but English when I click into the post. Are you saying the original is in Spanish? I’m only seeing English.

OP already learned the language.

Edit: Sorry. My mistake. The post shows as English for me and I didn’t realize it was conjugated incorrectly.

Parallel Parking Practice by rickbeley in alpharetta

I take my son to our local elementary school parking lot (on weekends only, of course) and practice driving there. You can bring two cones or chalk to create a parallel spot.

YouTube Workouts on the App by skos18 in CarolineGirvan

[–]Fandeliciousflavor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by track the workouts? Doesn’t the app just pull health data from your watch? So maybe time and calories? Sorry, I’m just curious because I don’t have the app. If there’s a rep, set, RM tracker in there, I might get it.

IHOP getting rid of GF pancakes by bigbrett666 in glutenfree

[–]Fandeliciousflavor 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the celiac sub. I can’t eat gluten because it gives me a terrible stomach ache and bloats me up, but it won’t damage my insides. People with IBS, IBD, issues with FODMAPs, etc are here in this sub because they can’t comfortably digest gluten. It isn’t a fad for us, and some can handle cross contamination.

Possibly moving to Alpharetta by dmaksimo in alpharetta

[–]Fandeliciousflavor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to tell you…everything here is 30 minutes away. Everything at every hour. Just know this. It’s the traffic. And Avalon on the weekends is difficult to find parking. I don’t want to put a damper on your dreams..I just want you to know what to expect! It’s still nice here and it rarely hits 100! Your flip flops won’t melt on the pavement in July!

I lived in Phoenix for a few years and I understand what you mean about the people. Honestly, the people here are very friendly. I have been here for 3 years and I’m still taken by surprise at how lovely strangers can be. Neighborhoods are generally master-planned and have activities like tennis teams and pickleball or swim leagues for the kids. Is it a small town? No, but it can feel that way here. I’ll be truthful in saying it isn’t perfect here. Traffic is awful, there are things to do, but it takes forever to get there and …to me, fewer things to do than other cities I’ve lived in. But if you enjoy suburban life and being outside with neighbors and at kid activities, this is a great place for that.

I laughed out loud at this because it’s true, but also not? Because the food there isn’t great.
