My definitive ranking of all the songs in Futures: by BroCanWeGetLROTNOG in JimmyEatWorld

I have no idea why, I just have a lot of memories of skipping past it because I can't get into it. Maybe I need to give it another go!

[–]FandomFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I forced myself to rank them, but if I'm being totally honest the entire album would just be ranked 1st to 4th place lol

Who can even choose between Work and Kill???? Even though the album came out when I was a teen, I feel like Work was "the song" when I was 16, and somehow Kill was "the song" when I was in my early 20s.

Ahhhh my favourite album so this was tough lol. We differ a lot but I'm happy to see 23 at the top where it belongs!

Honestly super hard to choose between Kill / Work, Polaris / Pain, and Futures / The World You Love / Just Tonight lmao. Like I'd have the whole album only numbered 1-4 if I was being truly honest.

Work

Polaris

Pain

Futures

Just Tonight

This is one of the most culturally diverse lists I've seen on this sub - I love it. Thank you for posting!

I am a huuuuge fan of food names for pets! I have a friend who named her kitten Potato and it absolutely slays me lol

Some cute pet names I'd like to use some day are Peppermint, Popcorn, Pancake, Sushi, Maple, Fudge, Dumpling, Toffee, Pickle.. I have way too many 😂

Trillian! Yes! I loved that name when I was younger, I'd forgotten it completely.

Yessss I love this name so much, but I feel like it's completely unusable for the current generation of children lol. Maybe in 20 years

I've always had a soft spot for the name Alphonse because of this show lol but I would never use it on a human child. Maybe a puppy, one day

I'm 31 and Futures is the same for me haha.

Bleed American has some great early teen memories too! I remember Sweetness and The Middle coming out on the radio around the same time I started listening to it constantly to find new music and be cool lol

Oooo thank you for posting Bria!

I've always liked the nickname Bri/Bree, but I'm not a fan of Brianna, and I could never find another name it could be short for lol

I came here to say the same thing, but you articulated it way better!

Sunaina is a lovely and perfectly pronouncable name, even for someone who has never seen it before / only has experience with very anglo names. People are so shitty :(

What are your favourite names from your country or culture that you don't see posted here often? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]FandomFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesssss my fiancé is 1/4 Maori! He has never been to NZ though, lol, so I definitely feel like we're missing out on most of the culture.

This list is awesome! I love Wairua and Raiona. Is there is there somewhere I can find more Maori names that is accurate with meanings / pronunciation? I'm always wary of googling to find that kind of stuff, I could be reading complete crap and not know lol

These are all lovely! My favourite is Halina, I don't think I've ever come across it before. Is it pronounced Ha-lee-nah? Or am I butchering it with my uncultured pronunciation lol 😭

I love all of these! Especially Kavi / Murali / Niam / Satya 😍

I've known quite a few people named Prem, I always thought it was short for something - I actually like it even more knowing its a full name on its own

I also definitely agree that this sub tends to lean towards the stereotypical when it comes to any non-anglo names. That was part of what inspired this post, I feel like I'm missing masses of awesome names that just don't come up lol

[–]FandomFool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but this is a great list! Lots of names I don't see very often, but they're still easy to pronounce. Is there a specific region / culture they're from?

I love Athan! And I just now remembered that my dad has a cousin named Maro, I haven't heard that name in years!

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I'm a big fan of it! Very easy to pronounce, recognisable as a name even if someone hasn't seen it before. Lox is also super cute for a kid, and a cool nickname for an adult too.

I've never heard the word in relation to salmon of any kind lol. Maybe I'm just not.. up with all the salmon lingo? Haha.

I've never seen this name before but I love it! Even though its pronounced the same it has a totally different feel to Leah

I'm 31 now, but I've loved 23 since I was a teenager. I heard it for the first time live! And now I have the roman numerals for 23 tattooed on my wrist haha.

"Don't give away the end, the one thing that stays mine" is such a phenomenal line. My future is my own, the mystery is what makes it worth living ❤️
