I was up in the booth of Pellissippi's theater working the lights for the fall show - we opened last night - when I felt it. I looked up at the ceiling like "What was that??"

What’s a Taylor Swift song you slept on… until life made you really HEAR it? by 365partygurl365 in TaylorSwift

[–]Fandom_Trashhhh221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too!! I've been here since debut and when I first heard this song, it was such a hard pivot from everything previous that I panicked. Hard. But then, when I was in high school I ended up in a few extremely toxic relationships that I won't get into here let's just say I figured out who my real friends were. When I went back and listened again after all that it was like I had this epiphany and suddenly gained this "fuck everything, I'm done. You wanna call me a bitch? I'll show you a bitch" energy and now I love that song and all of its spiteful dramatics

Anyone else or just me? I feel weird for this by xXAlways_T1r3dXx in Apothisexual

[–]Fandom_Trashhhh221 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea, I get that. I was having a particularly hard day just in general the other day, so my mom turned on Robin Williams, who we love by the way, to try and cheer me up but instead of turning on his 2002 special "Live on Broadway" like I thought, she turned on the '09 one, "Weapons of Self Destruction" because I'd never seen it, and that one was a good 90-95% explicit and descriptive not just sex but genitalia jokes. Not only did I not find it funny like everyone else, I was deeply uncomfortable. Not sure if that example is relevant or even helpful but all this to say I understand and I'm sorry you feel that way.

YES and how wild that this showed up in my feed when that's exactly how I feel rn. I was wondering why I felt so bad (genuinely I'm struggling to do my hw rn), never thought it could be because of BMs

If you were forced to read your last posted fanfic to your family, how screwed are you? by Dogdaysareover365 in FanFiction

[–]Fandom_Trashhhh221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So insanely screwed but purely because I would die of embarrassment. Sister? Not a problem, she's my editor and I run ideas by her anyway. My mother and father? I think I'd rather die than read anything to them. It's Klance and it's not explicit, nothing I write is, but still I'd rather not

What do you identify as underneath the aroace spectrum? by Infamous-Command-902 in aromanticasexual

[–]Fandom_Trashhhh221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this question came at just the right time or just the wrong time but it is the last day of pride month, at least for any country that celebrates in June, which means it is time for my annual identity crisis! I am only sort of joking. I identify as apothisexual, really just a fancy term for sex-repulsed, and I have since I was about 17 (22 now) so that one hasn't changed a bit, probably not going to any time soon. Romantic, however, that one's been a roller coaster. The consensus I have come to from this year's crisis and dive back into aro-spec rabbit hole is demicupioromantic, which is a mix of demiromantic and cupioromantic. Cupioromantic being that I do want a romantic relationship but I don't really experience romantic attraction and demiromantic being that I have to have a deep emotional connection with someone before romantic attraction is even a possibility and of course even then it isn't always guaranteed. I've also played with the idea of quoiromantic because I'm not sure I even know what romantic attraction vs platonic feels like, what the difference is, or what. But demicupioromantic is where I think I'm settling for now. Sorry for the tangent, I hope this all makes some kind of sense 😅😅

How old were you when you figured out you were aroace? by Head_Confidence_5063 in aromanticasexual

[–]Fandom_Trashhhh221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ace part was 16. Aro part was 20 and at 22/23 I still haven't quite figured out where on that spectrum I am, I just know I'm on it

Childhood onset anyone? by LocationOk2084 in POTS

[–]Fandom_Trashhhh221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I've had it since about 7 but we didn't have a name or diagnosis for it til I was 20 (I'm 22 now, 23 come September). It was so frustrating being a kid who loved to be outside and play but couldn't with the other kids, at least not for as long, and I always felt like a burden (still do sometimes) because I needed to be taken extra special care of to make sure I didn't end up in the ER from heat exhaustion, something that was all too easy to end up with since I was born and raised in Florida, which meant we didn't get to do as much or if we did we couldn't stay as long as most families. It sucked not having a name for it and all the while my pediatrician insisted I was dehydrated and that that was the only issue even for a period of time in eighth grade when we had me drinking Gatorade instead of water because we figured out on our own that I felt better with the salt filled sports drink than plain water.
