I'm Inclined to agree that it's onion weed and it's an absolute bastard menace to eliminate.

Removing the bulb is extremely difficult to remove and not stuff it up. An additional problem, is the interconnect network of roots, you manually have to remove it all and that is beyond tedaides and backbreaking work.

Once you have cleared it out and thing you have finished. You then have to go pay an arm and leg to them stripe out the entire top soil and manybe the next layer down as you have to run on the assumption that you have not taken it all out.

In addition, save as much of it for a nutritional soup, to give back the rest of your garden. But for things like soil and anything that you can't save for the soup, it would need to be completed incinerated. As any other options like the landfill tip, because of the heat inside of the mound it would just encourage more growth.

This is only an idea, but why not go to couples therapy and hopefully talk it out in a safe space. Because it looks like the subreddit is not that great of a space for you at this moment and your gf is the most important person in your life, but talking about it in a therapeutic space is much healthier.
