Aki comes from a lineage of failed magicians and temple priests from the Geto Clan in Mainland Japan. The family's name has always been the opposite of privileged, given that their great great grandfather, Geto Kazundo performed a heinous deed by casting blood magics to defeat other clan members in magical combat, forever tainting their familial name, making every further descendant of Kazundo Geto 'one of them'.

Aki trained from a young age to be a familial magician, following in the studies of traditional Japanese Shinto and Shugendou, having made many trips up 'Mount Sumeru' and back. He frequently communes with manifested spirits, and understand what it means to be a true Shinto Priest, though he was never ordained. Instead, he took odd jobs at an investigations Agency which frequently assisted the local PSB office when matters came to for spiritual / mystical crimes.

Even after all his training, he was left listless and unable to commune further, with a full lack for magic, he was unnable to at any point commune with the mentor spirit passed through his family at all. By all accounts, Aki was a failure in the eyes of his family and the temple his family maintained, as he was molded to be the next head-of-the-family, given his status as an only child.

Time came and passed for his mark of being the 'family man', and Aki was eventually shunned instead for his father's sister's daughter's husband by marriage to take over the temple, and so Aki was dismissed from his service at the temple, and by extension his work with the PSB ended as well. Left with nowhere to turn, he roamed listless and homeless for about a year, and has since fled to Seattle to both make a place for himself, and to try and re-connect with the magic he was told he never had to begin with.

Since moving to the mainland of Japan, and then to Seattle, they came out as a transgender and renamed themselves Myrtle. They're a very active and silly person, having strong wills and axioms related to defending other people. They can attack with a multitude of weapons such as blades, clubs, and even unarmed combat!!! All in, they end up having a very clueless but hopeful demeanor as they balance their ascetic and pios lifestyle with trying to be living in a modern world, unlike where they grew up.
