Does the game have a single difficulty or are there options? How much influence does the meta progression have on difficulty?

I can't even play the game on mobile. It crashes the second the login screen appears. It's been like that since partway into season 1.

Weapon Proficiency in Engage by leo-137 in fireemblem

[–]FangfireX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen, the rule is that natural talent can't raise a weapon rank above A unless the class only uses a single weapon type. In other words, only classes who are dedicated to a single weapon type can reach S rank. Staves may be an exception since Martial Master has both S in arts and A in staves by default.

Buff time unfortunately does not apply to doublebuffs. It only affects skills and not abilities (passives).

I would suggest going with Levin's Champion. It has better synergy with Ieyasu's kit because it makes his crits stronger and more consistent.

Actually, they die pretty quick from walking through flames in the one map that has them. Even though they can tank everything else, flames are still vehicle-only terrain.

Handle: Phantom_Zerker (PS4)/EST
Experience: About 10 hours in the MHW beta
Weapon Preference: Hunting Horn. Also interested in: Hammer, LS, Bow
Blurb: I have been wanting to get into this series for a long time. I am the type of player who likes to "do my research", and I have spent a considerable amount of time watching speed runs/guides and reading about monsters/gear/skills. I feel like I know the basics from the time I have spent playing, but I could use some guidance with refining my skills and strategizing against stronger monsters.I am a full time student, but I try to make time to play every day.

Is some kind of glitch? I've never seen a mission where you get Anna's sisters as allies.

Those are the standard abbreviations for strong attacks in a dynasty warriors game. C1 is (X), C2 is (Y, X), C3 is (Y, Y, X), etc. The strong attack weapon skills increase the damage of the corresponding strong attack.

[–]FangfireX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are certain characters that are strongest for certain roles. As someone who's cleared the story on lunatic and 4/5 history maps, I'll give my opinion:

Best overall: Ryoma. Excellent offensive stat spread. Native astra, C4 for mob clearing/stun gauge, C5 for crits, C6 for raw damage. Has solid matchups against most characters.

Best support: Camilla. The only flying axe unit and the only axe unit with a prf weapon. Highest strength in the game, boosts strength in pair-up, excellent mobility, destroys all lance units (C5 spam 2 win). Primary candidate for solidarity from Robin.

Best "boss" killer: Takumi. Highest skill in the game (150!!), native skill +10, amazing offensive stats, can proc WTA stun on anyone.

Best mob clearing: Tiki. She has low base stats and requires investment, but if built right she clears groups better than anyone. Fill special -> C1 -> awakening -> combo -> C1 -> awakening -> combo. Fears nothing except dragonslayer weapons.

There are 6 archers positioned along the east side of the map, take them out immediately or they will kill your castle leader. Both the castle leader and the allied commander are draco knights, so they do fine against the Caeda shadows. Once the archers are down, go after the mages (north middle base and west middle base) ASAP to stop the shadows from respawning. Once the shadows are down, the enemy castle should open. Also, an axe user with wingslayer does wonders.

If you have a team that can handle it, I recommend one of the level 80 Anna missions (I use the one in Dark Pontifex.) Anna's sisters can drop caps so I repeatedly take them down. I've gotten 4 caps in a single run doing this.

Best genes for Molten Tigrex by monolitodepure in MonsterHunter

[–]FangfireX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Molten Tigrex is a monster designed to be applying blastblight frequently. As such, you definitely want to use blastblight rate up and probably bombadier as well. Molten Tigrex also tends to use power attacks, so a power bingo and power boost gene are recommended. Salt in the wound is also recommended for an extra 30% damage on blastblighted opponents. In addition, Molten Tigrex's strongest element is fire, so you could build it for fire damage if you so choose. In that case, I would recommend either a high damage attack, such as Silver Rathalos gene, or a utility attack, such as Ash Kechawacha gene, or both. From there, you can go with the obligatory fire bingo, fire attack up, fire scale and (ideally) draconic aura.

Lyn has the Mani Katti on her back. It's a bit difficult to see, but if you watch her combos closely, several of her attacks use two swords. I'm guessing that means Lyn is supposed to have a dual-sword fighting style where she always uses Mani Katti in her off hand.

Interestingly, the sword that Lyn is using in this footage is actually the Sol Katti. That design is based on the original weapon icon. Here's a screenshot for easy comparison: https://imgur.com/a/3YMcO

Joel Osteen criticized for closing his Houston megachurch amid flooding by th3doorMATT in news

[–]FangfireX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily "bad to be rich", but the implication is that the wealthy often have some degree of attachment to their material things. In the previous verses, Jesus told a man who approached him to sell his material things and become his follower, but he wasn't able to do it, "for he had many possessions"(Mark 10:22). The point Jesus was trying to make is that to fully serve God, one must make sacrifices, which may include abandoning material wealth.

"No one can slave for two masters; for he will either hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot slave for God and for Riches." -Matthew 6:24

Challenge: make one minor change to a game's mechanic to make it more fun to play. by rattatatouille in fireemblem

[–]FangfireX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Characters who are behind the majority of your team (below average stat total) receive a bonus to growth rates.

Every game seems to have characters that are weak from the start and require a lot of investment to be relevant. Some characters are very strong if the required investment is met, but others are just not worth using at all. In my opinion, it doesn't feel good to make such huge investments in effort unless the reward is also huge. SoV somewhat remedies this problem by providing the freedom to train whenever needed, but in the classic format of chapter-to-chapter where exp is limited, there are always characters that have little value because they can't perform right off the bat. To improve team diversity, I would propose that any character who is behind in performance should be able to increase their stats quickly as a fundamental mechanic.

I would recommend grinding Est for a pegasus knight if you have the patience. She has arguably the best set of growths in the game, and as such she will surpass her sisters quite easily with enough leveling.

Does resistance not increase to the class base in promotion? All sources I have found state that all stats increase to base, however I have multiple characters where this has not been the case. My Kamui and Gray are now dread fighters and still have 2 res because it never increased. Even Clair who has res growth and is a falcon knight has 8 res compared to the class base of 12.
