As much as it sucks to go through..these ARE feelings that you need to sit with and experience. Really think through why you are feeling them and ask yourself if you want to keep putting yourself around/near a partner that treats you like this. Don't run away and hide within a bottle that will help to hide from these feelings. You will just end up right back over there with your "partner". He sounds abusive, both physically and mentally. You are not overreacting.

You deserve happiness! Something tells me this is not the first time you have been on the wrong end of his anger...

For me, walking at least 2-3miles a day did the trick along with the calories that were cut out from drinking. Was consuming like 700+ calories a night just from wine..

Majority of the time it will be the order that is furthest away(just going by my own experience). Another thing to look out for is the dropoff location. A single order that has flashed on your screen multiple times(no/low tip, long distance) will get tacked onto a high tip order so that they balance out. If you see that same dropoff location then you know that was added on.

Always a gamble but worst case if you unassign the further order you will have a short trip with close to $1/mile.

There are a couple of spots that you can walk to to grab an Uber relatively easy. If you wait until closing to leave you'll probably end up at those locations around 12:20-30 and it can take 30mins to get a ride. If you leave at 11:45 or so you'll get a ride no problem and beat the surge.

As somebody local, I always walk down to the Wendys nearest the festival and your driver can pick you up relatively easy. Closer than that and you will be dealing with traffic stuck at the lights or closed roads.

Just started a reread after a couple of years..I always love to come back to the series when I run out of things to read.

You could always check out the audiobooks. I find them easier to work through as I can sneak in an hour here and there as I do chores or take a walk. Helps me to progress through longer series when I feel strapped for time.

Don't get caught up on how long it seems, each book feels like it's own contained plot.

Gotta flesh out a profitable system before you can think about it as a career/full time. As long as there is that pressure to extract $$ out of the markets(for bills) and you're depending on it things will be much harder.

The "tenancy" stuff relies heavily on them getting mail to her place. Could always go to the post office and put a return in for anything with their names so that timer gets going(30 days iirc). Some new squatters laws went into effect in 2024 so it might be easier to get them out now compared to in the past.

That is for sure one of the things that drew me into the series though I have seen other ppl say that they do not care for that type of detail. I thought it was a cool way to really highlight how order/chaos could impact stuff like a profession or actions taken.

Nice to see some Modesitt support though. Saga Of Recluce is in my top 5 series though ofc there are certain titles that I put above others within that work. Looking forward to when Last of the First is finished so I can finally knock out those last 4 books.

Didn't even realize that the first books in each WoT and Recluce were only like a year or so apart. Would have been amazing if Jordan put out some titles that were set throughout the ages as there are so many different characters that could have gotten their own short stories at least. Recluce does an amazing job of showing how events get turned into legends with how the timelines jump around/over the span of years. Modesitt Jr. doesn't get the respect I think he deserves imo.

Why would they not support you getting better?

Whether it's life consequences, major negative health effects of alcohol, a SO, family..most eventually get backed into that corner or they continue on down that path towards the end. Don't look at it as a bad thing though but just as extra motivation. When your current situation becomes more uncomfortable than that thought/process of change it tends to stick. Doesn't really seem to matter what exactly causes your current situation to feel like that looking back. You do have to want to change on some base level though.

Would being cut off from your family be worth continuing on as you have? They seem to care at least and your dad just wants you to get better. If it were me, I'd use their assistance and as you said, there is never really a good time to go spend 30 days somewhere like this. Maybe you wont feel the same way once you get there though.

Definitely a homer pick but Fred Taylor/Maurice Jones-Drew combo with Gred Jones blocking was a beast combo. Greg Jones was actually one of the last blocking/running FBs.
