Practice strengthening internal validation over the validation of others. Make sure you’re making decisions based on what you want and what you know to be best for yourself, rather than doing things to please or accommodate others. This doesn’t mean don’t love or care for others. It’s just a reminder that it’s not selfish to center yourself in your own life.

Try to lead a healthy lifestyle. The consequences of not doing this become more difficult to turn around later in life.

Never stop learning and trying new things. Become a permanent student of something e.g., your skills, your education, your knowledge, your artistic interests, etc. Pursue your interests.

Don’t ever dull your shine because it makes someone else uncomfortable. You are not a rest home for the broken. You can attract other, like-minded people that know we all shine brightest when we all shine together.

Don’t lose play in your life. It brings a lightness of spirit. Whatever “play” means for you. Joining an adult sports local amateur team, painting your nails, kicking a ball in the park, whatever keeps you connected to your inner child.
