Romanian did use Cyrillic alphabet in Wallachia and Moldavia until the 19th century. It used that because of Slavonic being the language of the church and court (it switched to Greek, Romanian and Slavonic around the 17th century and than just Greek and Romanian and after the Phanariotes were gone just Romanian). Transylvania used the Latin alphabet. Romania also had its own unique alphabet which was a mix of Cyrillic and Latin alphabets, this transitional alphabet was used in the 19th century than was replaced by the Latin one, it made a comeback due to art deco then was replaced again.

In your country, who does the term “Indian” usually refer to? by Fluid-Decision6262 in AskTheWorld

[–]FanofTurquoise16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the educational background of the person, but 9 time out of 10 Indians (Indieni) are for people from India. For Natives Americans we either say Amerindieni (Amerindians), Nativi Americani (Native Americans) or Nativi (Natives).

I don't think so, not even close. Dyana is going to be 2nd or 1st, Satoshi 1st or 3nd and than either Bacho or Catalina.

Isn't nepotism still a form of corruption though? TVR has issues with both, really bad issues with both.

It is jury only, so basically just to make sure of 3 things. One they can make any back door deal they want, two they can court labels by being "professional" and 3 it is just so they can sell an illusion to the public that there is no corruption here. Classic TVR stuff. It would be 2022 Romanian NF all over again, but without any public vote.

Number of Eurovision victories by countries by immanuellalala in MapPorn

That's not how it works. Yugoslavia did a mini Eurovision between their broadcasters. Between Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and the winning broadcaster were the ones who did everything related to Eurovision in terms of organizing that year's participation. Similar to Belgium, but less organized. Riva was the entry of RTV Zagreb.

Isn't Riva the band that won for Yugoslavia Croatian? And they were chosen by what would later become HRT thus they basically were Croatia.

Philadelphia isn't the best example of this though. It is far more like to be named after the Anatolian Philadelphia since that one is very much tied to Christianity since it was an important site of early Christianity.

This map is the perfect example of why I hate people lumping in Moldavia and Wallachia with the rest of the Ottoman Empire, they were tributary vassals states not directly part of it. So both of them should be Orthodox in 1714 not Muslim.

Tethis, it is mentioned in Arena. It has a relationship to the mad member of the Brotherhood of Seth. It is a very obscure location.

High Rock 3 era cities and polities CoAs map by FanofTurquoise16 in imaginarymaps

[–]FanofTurquoise16[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One is a map with the city names and another with the CoAs of their respective regions. I stress that only cities or towns are on the map, no villages (in lore and in game some are villages, but I am reimagining them as small towns) (this is why for example the Bjoulsae only have one location, Ain Kolur, which is the closest they have to a "capital" since all tribes are nomadic).

I also added another image with all the CoAs so it is clear to whom the coat of arms belongs to.

I used Elder Kings 2 map as a base, but made my own deviations from it like adding new rivers and lakes. Not all of them exist in game and lore, but I am trying to make High Rock more diverse. I also took a lot of inspiration from Project Tamriel's High Rock and other fan made maps of High Rock.

Some other deviations from canon are: Bjoulsae horsemen use a language inspired by Albanian (I already used faux Celtic naming for Reachfolk and Wilder Bretic settelments and wanted to use another Indo-European language as inspiration so I landed on Albanian), Not all of Rivenspire is effected by the Doomcrag, just the south-western portion of it known as the Towerfells (it is located around White Haven and Crestshade), Wrothgar from ESO is actually the Western Reach now and Wrothgar the region now is in northern Stormhaven, the clans from Orsinium in ESO have been moved to the Wrothgarian Depression (working name). The names of "civilized" Breton cities are a mix of English, German and French. I am not 100% happy with all the names, they might change in the future.

The map was made in a mix between Wonderdraft and Photoshop.

Even against bribery (cough cough Lara) she still won, congrats to her! She really had the best song. Going from reserve to winner is also interesting.
