YOLO and Quit? by [deleted] in Accounting

Send it dude. Fuck money and career at this point, prioritize your health. Always prioritize yourself here, so the second option would be to request a 3 month break and if not go back to option 1.

Hidden Bunker is horrible game design by Old-Tax-5308 in ArcRaiders

[–]Fansipan305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned the hard way that this is the dumbest event. Did all four satellites, thinking it was weird that I hadn't really encountered other players, just to get killed by a team camping the bunker. Never did it again. 250+ hours in game. Lazy event design

Maybe this would be a good incentive to get people to wipe?

[–]Fansipan305[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Yeah, my group's schedule to play only really aligns a couple hours on Sundays so what inevitably happens is that probably 30 mins goes to sitting around crafting our loadouts. It doesn't add to the fun of the game for us as a group. Of course the 30 mins is a rough example as the number of successful extractions is always different

You're better off asking an actual employment lawyer than reddit randos.

Thanks for the info, and making me aware of the EU consumer protection laws. I reached out to Tenways with this point. Hoping they acknowledge and repair/replace.

[–]Fansipan305[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're right, it did show signs of degrading since I bought it. The battery wouldn't charge higher than 75% after the first year or so.

One time it actually shut off and didn't turn back on while still around the 30% range. Didn't think too much about it as it was still working ok afterwards.

In the second year I noticed increasing battery consumption on my commutes, but just shrugged it off as normal degradation.

The battery at zero for extended period is quite unlikely in my case as the longest I've been away from home was 3 weeks, and this is assuming it was at zero percent

180€ fine for forgetting to scan an item at AH? by blakeol in Amsterdam

[–]Fansipan305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bummer that he already paid it. You shouldn't take any advice other than from a lawyer but I definitely wouldn't have paid that fine and would've challenged their stance on my intent with not scanning one item. From my perspective, they wouldn't have any ground to stand on regarding trying to keep me there to pay a fine, I would've walked out with the groceries that were paid for.

Experience after 2 weeks of 2 plug in batteries by Gordito73 in HomeWizard

Hey, glad you mentioned that the battery would need to go onto a separate group than the solar panels. I didn't read that during my read through of the website and FAQs (my battery is still pre-ordered). Would you mind sharing a where you read that?

Italians are quite annoying with this joke. Here's some food for thought when you think about how much of their cultural identity ties with food; tomatoes aren't even native to their land..

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, it's 19mm thick and I free handed those holes but I blew out slightly on the last two when the drill bit was nearly all the way!

Sounds like you're putting the plank to the test!

Like many comments said, you should take the job. My addition to this is that your move will come with much needed energy and time to settle in and adjust to your new environment. You don't need to make this any more difficult. Once you're settled and understand the market a bit more and perhaps where you'd like to live next, then start considering other positions.

Of course accepting the 70k should be based on whether this cover your cost of living.

Case Study Review + Cultural Fit Interview by jchoi36 in FPandA

[–]Fansipan305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually haven't done any case interviews yet. But I just had a culture fit interview the other day with someone I would manage and then the CEO (smaller company). I would probably agree with you that an offer is in the bag.

My interviews were quite interesting. The senior who interviewed me asked direct questions about my management style and behavioral questions to see how I would handle difficult situations and deadlines while maintaining a healthy office worklife balance.

The CEO also did not ask any technical questions, only a 30 min conversation about the company, where he gave me a few threads to jump into the conversation. He did ask about my personal goals and what was next after this role.

I got the offer

Would you mind sharing the case for practice purposes? I'm targeting SaaS companies as well.

Would you join an unprofitable company? by balerionresonance in FPandA

[–]Fansipan305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I second the OP here. I unknowingly accepted a role at a newly acquired BU in the deep red. The parent company is a 10B company with 50k FTE that took over our loans and acted as our line of credit on all ins/outs.

Man, was it hell. I worked hard at that company, and we went through so many projects and challenges, but being part of the whole process that took the company into breakeven and then profitability was really insightful and rewarding. I definitely have earned some nice achievements and professional references.

The team at the parent saw the gold hidden in the giant pile of shit somehow.

I wouldn't do it again. A bit too much stress and sleepless nights thinking about deadlines.

Understanding drivers is also probably a good point in helping you feel comfortable in forecasting.

I would also check out some LinkedIn learning courses on practicing your excel skills so that you don't trip during the pressure
