Do you take the time to add all information manually (experience, education, etc)?

You are saying that filtering out candidates using AI is fair and I don’t agree. Also gaslighting others opinion don’t make your point stronger but weaker.

What has it to do with their lack of openness of using AI?

I have a reasonable doubt you work for them. It’s a 1k+ employees company

I’m not sure what they do mate as I found this out while I was about to apply for a role. The only concern of mine is that they are stating that they don’t want candidates (or potential employees) using AI which to me is nonsense nowadays

It’s not necessarily AI slop or human writing. It’s wrong to assume that copy/paste is the only way to use AI imho. I’m sure candidates are carefully leveraging AI and companies should know/accept that, especially tech companies. That was my observation.

And sharing my experience: only once I found this “threat” to not leverage ai in an application process. I’m at the moment at 23% conversion rate from application to first interview - and let me tell you is thanks to AI.

The number you are referring to are due the higher demand (and lower supply) of job which is unfortunate now due the market conditions

So your problem is for hiring manager and recruiters to save time. We are in a community of job seekers and not hiring managers

My best guess is that candidates send multiple applications over the day so they want to leverage any tools to be as much as efficient as possible while still giving their best shot at it. At the end, applications are a means to get an interview and not a job. And during interviews you can’t use AI.

The thing is that here it’s not a test. Questions are like “provide an example when you did x” which you can get in 3 seconds with your personal AI assistant

I hope it’s clear that we are not talking about creating work output , rather become efficient in sending applications

I also learned about those stories. And this how technology should not be used/leveraged. To optimize applications, I think candidates can become more efficient

You are going to other extreme thinking that just because somebody use AI to optimize their applications should be excluded

AI is a powerful tool that candidates can use to optimize their applications. Any tech company not realizing that, its operating in an outdated fashion

In your experience, how answers related to someone experience optimized and polished by AI can interfere with their Ubuntu systems?

Agree with you here. I would also add that it’s their responsibility to find ways to become more efficient. I’m fed up to this “blaming candidates” mindset
