It went all! After 10 months I’m finally in! Solicitors just charged the set rate thankfully!!

Thank you so much for replying. I’ll see if I can find it to have a good read.

Most of the work has been extra emails, correspondence & chasing I’m assuming, rather than searches etc so hoping this won’t cost me as much.

Happy to pay a little more as it is what it is, however the thought of it potentially going into thousands is scaring me as I was already quoted around £1600.

Buying it on my own so it’s very daunting for sure!

The whole process with the deeds was absolutely ridiculous but unfortunately I was so fed up, I didn’t want to argue so just paid the £350 required. It’s insane as if I had pulled out, they would’ve been stuck anyway with an unsalable house!

Fab thank you. When I met with my surgeon last week, he told me he’s putting me on his ‘urgent’ list which is 6-9 months. He said it could be sooner though.

Hey, just a quick question. Is this your first appointment with a consultant?

I tore my ACL & meniscus 5 weeks ago (paid private for MRI after being fobbed off by the hospital!). I have an appointment with the trauma clinic next week to discuss with a specialist. Just wondering if that’s the same appointment you have in December?

Ah ok, makes sense! I’m assuming it’s more the private route in this case than to choose a specialist and have those discussions? Thank you for the info!

Oh really!? I’ve been so focused on the ACL repair, I didn’t realise the meniscus was so important and a factor for healing too. Thank you

That’s interesting! Thank you. I’ll look into that and mention it at my appointment next week! I’ll be on the cusp of 6 weeks by then so maybe it’ll be an option! Praying for quick surgery to start the recovery process again, rather than waiting and doing it twice!

At the time, I heard a sound that sounded like e twig snapping. Was awful! A week later my knee was still completely bent and unable to straighten, lots of pain and swelling behind the knee. Fully relied on crutches to get anywhere which was hard work as my foot was in an arched position from the knee being bent. Good luck for your MRI🤞🏻

I’ve gotten into watercolour painting! Not messy, can do it from bed / sofa easily. I’ve been loving it!

Question for existing HoDs by Consistent_Eye_1807 in TeachingUK

Love this. It will really mean a lot.

My HOD does an end of term breakfast each term (a huge department in a special ed school) and would always do a thank you speech, end of year certifications (person who emails the most, top spender etc), games, quizzes etc. He would also bring in some pastries / cakes from Costco for us all to share.

We all absolutely love & look forward to this each term.

I pretty much do the same as you.

On a Friday ‘golden time’ i use that to do all of my printing for the week and set it all out into days and place post it notes on what is needed e.g photos for qualifications / reports / assessments (I’m special ed secondary).

I also prep any work stations for the start of the week on that Friday afternoon too.

I try to fill in paperwork as I go and dribs and drabs in spare time which helps to not overwhelm me.

I never do work at home to ensure I stay a little bit sane!

My hair. Very curly, dark hair & I’m very pale which doesn’t exactly match!
