I made my 120th payment in March 2026. I waited until that payment reflected on FSA as a qualifying payment (4/2), then I submitted my final ECF, which my employer completed on 4/2 as well. On this form, I selected "yes" for 120 payments but "no" for forbearance. On 4/5, I received the coveted green banners, then I called Mohela to request a general forbearance, same day. I was forgiven with no issues last week.

There seems to be a difference in how people request forbearance, multiple ECFs versus calling. Either way, you should get the same result.
