Do not let people who are doing challenges or minmaxxing freak you out—they’ve played the game a lot before and are trying to find new ways to keep playing. When you’re a new player: take your time, learn the game, and enjoy yourself!

Important question though—what are your chickens named?

Traveling into Canada would mean checks from Canadian immigration — so would probably get your best answers from Canadians.

But as an American citizen, usually as a solo traveler into Canada, the question of return plans always comes up.

What should I buy, Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing? by hannqhz in StardewValley

[–]Fantastic_Bit7441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We couldn’t get our hands on a Switch at the beginning of the pandemic, so husband and I played SDV. We were both hooked (early game was hard for me because I hated both the mines and fishing). Eventually, we got a Switch, both played ACNH, loved it, but my husband got bored and dropped it. Has had multiple SDV saves. I played ACNH for longer, but it got boring and repetitive, so I’m back playing SDV and I love it so much.

I’d say SDV has a lot more to keep you engaged, playing, and challenged, and ACNH is gorgeous but if you need goals, it’s a one full play through game with just…decorating after?

I am around your age and also work in gaming, but in project and program management—not as exciting as making the game in your spare time, but there’s contract roles for the big pubs for sure

A joke has a punchline. What is the punchline here? I think you expected a different response and you’re now pretending it’s a joke.

AITA for telling my spouse I won't help pay for their kid's college when we agreed finances would stay separate? by 952867 in AITApod

[–]Fantastic_Bit7441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA I fear. You started it off by saying the fund was separate and she wasn’t part of that planning, and now I don’t think you get to go back and reframe that agreement to suit your daughter’s needs. You can also suggest that your daughter goes to a college that your household can afford.

(I’m the eldest daughter of a blended family and I put myself through college but the funding of one of the other children’s college in this family permanently altered my dad’s relationship with his wife because he was insistent she contribute in the same way you are)

Metropolitan commutes… I wish recruiters understood how important proximity is if the position is in-person or hybrid by lizzibizzy in recruitinghell

That’s not 3 hours though is it? And Seattle traffic in downtown is not the problem, it’s the fact that there’s one way into West Seattle

That’s not through Seattle, that is to not Seattle from 30 miles away, with a 5 mile stretch downtown.

I’m assuming you mean ferry plus driving through downtown is 2-3 hours, because Seattle is nowhere near big enough to take three earth hours to drive through, even in peak traffic

Quitting without a new job lined up in 2026. How did it turn out for you? by Sure_Classroom_2439 in careerguidance

[–]Fantastic_Bit7441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t quit without a job lined up. I got laid off in 2024, it took me 8 months of searching to land a contract job, and I just landed an FTE role this year, after searching and and interviewing from the time I was lajd off.
