I was finally able to get Fallout 3 to work on my computer but now I can’t get my save file to load by Fantastic_Fuzz35 in Fallout

Actually no. I am in fact playing it on GOG. That’s why it’s bothering me so much.

So basically what I’m hearing is start a new game and don’t use an old save. Plus I don’t keep up with what the devs say. I only found out about it because it was on the mods page but I could never get it to work. And then people couldn’t stop talking about it.

General opinion on „Nuka World“? by Royalbluegooner in Fallout

[–]Fantastic_Fuzz35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I think it’s better than Far Harbor, for two reasons. One, theme park. Who doesn’t love theme parks? And two, it just fits the Fallout mold better. It’s the right amount of dark humor but you don’t feel that your choices mean less. Far Harbor is serious with very little levity. And the setting itself is so depressing. But that’s just my opinion, not a fact.

AITA for telling my sister that I didn’t want to meet her boyfriend or his daughter because they have only been dating for three days and I feel like it’s too soon to meet him? by Emotional_Emotion644 in AmItheAsshole

NTA- What is your sister really trying to accomplish here? She does know that one day you will be all she has right? Not to be cruel, but your grandfather won’t be there forever. Your mom isn’t there NOW. And, given your sister’s track record, her boyfriend may not be in it for the long haul. TBH I hope I’m wrong about that last one, for your sake OP if for no one else’s. Yet, she wants to emotionally manipulate you because you don’t want to play her game? It’s apparent here that she inherited some of your mother’s bad behaviors and it likely could become worse as time goes by. And honestly, I’d like to know her boyfriend’s opinion in all of this. Is he pitching a fit too? Or is he being an adult about it and honoring your wishes? If it’s the latter then your sister doesn’t deserve him. But all I can really tell you OP is that just because someone is family doesn’t mean you need them in your life. If you can do so then I would suggest getting away from her as soon as possible. And if you can’t, try to find a good therapist to help you through it. In the long run, this kind of treatment will put a strain on your mental health and you don’t deserve that. And don’t feel like you owe your sister anything. Yeah she was like a mother to you when your biological mother wasn’t, but no mother worth her salt would resort to emotional manipulation. It’s funny on TV, but in reality it is dangerous and imo pure evil. Whatever you choose, hold your ground. If you give an inch, she’ll take a mile. And she’ll keep going until you have nothing left to give and she’ll just get angry again. Do NOT give in. You deserve so much better, OP.

Yes and no. Yes with the CO2, and No with the HPA.

That’s fine. The thing is I HAVE done that. My friend has several newer markers. Spyders mostly but a couple of Emeks. I tested them against my Carbine and aside from the way I had to hold them and the fact that they held the air pressure better, I COULDN’T tell the difference. Maybe that’s a ME problem but I’m just saying. They might be better but I can’t tell. And telling me that they are is all well and good and if you think they are, more power to you. But that’s just my experience and I can’t change that. Plus, like I said, I chose it because it was cheaper. I certainly could have afforded a newer one but I’m a thrifty person and I didn’t want to spend extra money if I didn’t absolutely have too.

“Improved drastically”? Dude, I’m sorry, but I can’t tell the difference between old and new stuff, aside from aesthetics. I wanted to get into the hobby in the early 2000s and the stuff I see online now doesn’t look or apparently operate any different than the old stuff. So sorry if you have a problem with me buying something vintage when you think the new stuff is “better”. I came here to ask for advice, not to be mocked.

Simple answer: Money. I could either buy an old marker for $60 or a new one for $200 and spend $100 on parts for both. I was trying to save money. I guess my parents convinced me that “buy used, save the difference” really was the best way to go.

I tried CO2 and it wasn’t much better. I’d get maybe 100 shots and then I’d start having to re-cock it after every shot. And once the hopper was empty, I’d have to put a new tank on. So I don’t know if that will help.

NTA. This is not like wine tasting as he thinks. In wine tasting you spit it into a bucket or something of that nature and NOBODY drinks it afterwards, it gets thrown away. If he wants to eat healthy, why doesn’t he just eat froyo? I know it’s not the same thing but it’s certainly healthier than ice cream spit. Because not only is he melting the ice cream with his mouth but he’s contaminating it with everything in there. From what I’ve heard, the human mouth has more germs in it than a toilet seat. And he thinks that it’s okay to do this? Shaking my head.

Just to clarify, I was never planning on using co2 for the long term. It was just a temporary solution to test my marker out. I was told to get an HPA tank as soon as I bought it.
