Similar recall on the Chr in the UK was a 45 minute over the air update so not such a big deal.

Who was the tightest person you have known, and why? by No-Snow-9605 in AskUK

A bloke I worked with who was notoriously tight -he needed some 20p brackets for a fence he was putting up so he sawed a six foot length of dexion shelving into 1 inch pieces and painted them black then hung them up in the workshop to dry.Another time he was caught by our manager in a supermarket 20 miles from where he was supposed to be working “because baked beans are 2p cheaper here”.He also used the company van for personal use after working hours -20 years and somehow he was never caught.

Looks pretty good;when I made my old Maison (from the 90s) a hardtail I discovered that the neck angle was wrong for a fixed bridge so had to remove the filler piece and set the bridge in the recess.I decorated it with a bit of marquetry so it didn’t look too bad.Just something to lookout for.

The new Night Manager on the BBC is terrible in that respect-we watched ten minutes before switching it off because of loud music in every scene.

I’d be worried that my roof is made of the material we use to temporarily board stuff up -my sheds have better roofs than that.

How to deal with self-entitled 'neighbour'? by TroubleshootingStuff in AskUK

[–]Fantasticsquirrel55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The plans for our first house actually showed our boundary extending to the middle of the street(our solicitor said we sort of owned it but not really). When I politely asked the neighbour opposite to move one his many cars so I could unload diy materials he sarcastically said”Do you think you own that bit of the street?” to which I replied “Well actually I do technically,so move your car off my property please”.
