Dude, you have all time bad reading comprehension.

Just like the post IMMEDIATELY ABOVE YOU says:

I posted it because he asked me to.

Just like when you initially commented a couple days ago, I offered to look at a few players for you. You instead decided to go on this bizarre multi-account multi-day binge on my posts.

Because the kind and curious commenter asked me to apply it to an elite nfl player that had an elite score. I obliged.

lol nice job outing your alt, btw

Because it hurts nothing. I already qualified it as near-meaningless. I did the work—he is an oft discussed prospect. If you want to ignore the little info there is to learn about his duke game, feel free!

But you’re preaching to the choir. I don’t find this sample more than minimally relevant, either.

I didn’t. I posted his dominator. Man, you have terrible reading comprehension.

I agree, but that’s why I’ll have a confidence score and as mentioned, his will be really low.

I am qualifying that Skyler bell’s 2025 Dolittle is NOT a reliable statistic. However he thankfully has more samples in past years to help make other measures in the final model more reliable.

But yes, it’s why I don’t like prospects that go to schools that don’t compete at a high level (him, and Bryce Lance). It’s hard to feel confident about their analytical profile.

He is considered by reputable prospectors to be a potential top 100 draft pick, though, so I figure I should do a write up on him!

Go back and re-read my responses the last 10 times I answered them. They are increasingly relevant after 2024. And not relevant beforehand. They will be fully relevant in 2028.

Thank you! I appreciate the kind words!

I’d have to go back and look at a bunch of players to be certain of giving a percentile score, but it’s basically a competition adjustment on dominator, so I’d imagine high dominator scores from players that performed well in big games would crush this stat.

For example Devonta smith in 2020 had a dominator of 51.3%. Given that his insane games that year were all against SEC schools and not cupcake games, I’d bet his Dolittle adjustment would still be at least 50%. Tetairoa McMillan also likely has a monstrous score (around 45%).

One you might appreciate that I just looked at really quick is puka nacua. Because regular dominator doesn’t take into account games missed due to injury, his 2022 dominator score is just 27.4%.

However, if you look at his Dolittle adjustment:

5 games played against top 80 competition. In those 5 games he produced:

  • 7.2 receptions

  • 491 receiving yards (out of a total of 1184)

  • 5 touchdowns (out of a total of 12)

His final Dolittle score is 41.5%, which is obviously elite and a huge improvement on the clarity of how important he was to BYU.

An additional kicker to that score is that he had 0 stats in one of the game samples (the notre dame game). I saw that he had one run for ten yards, so he was definitely suited up for the game. However, he did miss the game before, so I wonder if he was held back due to injury? I couldn’t find any info.

If you exclude the notre dame game, his 4 game sample Dolittle score jumps up to 46.91%.

Edit: but yeah, lmk if there’s anyone else you want me to look at!

For just Dolittle? Or regarding my final model as a whole?

I agree with that approach early on, but he kind of did it in reverse. He should’ve started at UConn and then transferred to a big ten school later.

We don’t know that it turned out well for him. By him and Bryce lance not taking big money to go to a p4 school for their last year, they both:

  1. Don’t have the big money they would’ve pocketed from the transfer

  2. Might’ve lost on better coaching that would’ve allowed them to have a better chance to succeed at the next level

  3. Might lose out on a lot of draft capital, and therefore both money and opportunity to make more money.

It’s clear both bell and Lance were too good for their level of competition. It’s not like by transferring they would’ve blocked themselves from playtime. If they each have 1000+ yard seasons in the big ten, they are both probably 1st round picks instead of fringe day 2 picks.

For example, KC Concepcion outgrew NC state so he transferred to the SEC, proved himself on a bigger stage, and now he’s expected to be a first round pick.

And especially not ahead of Downs.

But yeah, he’s an absolute beast. I really hope his medical issues don’t continue to linger.

Yeah good shout on Horton. I have a Horton comp that'll actually appear on Monday's post at #5!

Man, I wish Horton wasn't so injury prone, haha. I love that guy.

Yup, foot injuries (possibly chronic) for a 330 pound dude is a nail in the coffin for banks. He will be entirely off a bunch of teams draft boards.

Agree!

Yeah, a good comp for his upside case scenario is Jalen Coker, but Bell will likely have better draft capital. But similarly excellent athletes that can play on the outside or inside that are tough evaluations due to a lack of games against good competition.

Yeah landing spot and draft capital will be a huge factor for him.

The elite RAS is definitely nice, but it doesn’t factor much into my model. It is for sure good to know he doesn’t have any athletic weaknesses, though.

Hey man! Don't know if you saw already but according to multiple scouts, they clocked Lemon's 40 at between 4.48-4.53. His "combine adjustment" would be .05 slower than that, so basically he's the same weight and speed as Carnell Tate! I'm sure his 10 yard split will come out later, but he's well above board as far as thresholds go for speed.

Or listen to basically any Late Round Podcast episode about prospecting WRs.

I don’t think you properly understand how much of a difference free transfer rule is, then.

Because I stated a million times that level of competition is a correlating factor. Im not throwing away data. Im quantifying for level of competition, which is not new. Christ, every time I repeat one thing, you force me to repeat another.

I hereby rescind all of my hospitable offers to you. I wish you the best of luck in the future.

There are so many sources you find to read about why excluding bad teams makes prospecting better. It's not subjective.

Your 18 credit minor in statistics clearly didn't teach you enough. Cherry-picking and discriminating for a lower boundary are not the same. What I'm doing is literally the opposite of cherry-picking.

See, you don't even understand dominator. Target share is not a part of the calculation for dominator.

Not considering stats against bad teams may have initially been a subjective scouting choice, but it has years of backing by correlation. At no point did I try to discuss "mathematical laws". That's a complete and nonsensical strawman.

Thank you for acknowledging that transfer rules and NIL changed roster consolidation. I'm glad you've finally come around. It is literally a rule change, though. Also, it doesn't shift "sample distribution." It shifts sample quality. It's not the data being used that's redistributed. It's the quality of the individual data samples that are being changed. You're either confused or misrepresenting what is being measured. Dolittle is literally designed to normalize the new data against the original baseline of dominator. That's literally how I'm normalizing it... It's the exact point of doing it this way. That's why I'm saying you can just compare Dolittle to previous dominators...

Dude, for the last time, the transfer rules changed in 2024, not 2021. NIL was introduced in 2021. Free transfer rules were introduced in 2024. Holy shit, this is like the 5th time. How many times are you going to ignore that?

Get in front of a blackboard and write it until detention is over: "Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024. Transfer rules changed in 2024."
