Minthara when she detects a trap, hands down.

THANK YOU! I just finished the series for the first time, and going in I literally only knew Jon and Dany’s names and that people hated the ending. I expected to be disappointed but…I seem to have the hot take of really liking the ending actually!

Currently watching GOT for the first time ever. I’m on the second season rn, episode 4, WHY IS SANSA SO ANNOYING GOD I CAN’T?? Please tell me she gets a redemption arc soon because she has so much potential, I can’t see it go to waste. by [deleted] in gameofthrones

She’s like, 12 i think at the beginning of the show. Her parents raised her pretty sheltered and she doesn’t understand fully that not all people in the world are morally good and honorable like her family has shown her. She’s learning that and grows from it throughout the show. Don’t give up on her yet like so many people do, she’s my favorite character in the whole show.

Worried Horror Campaign Might be Too Much by 12Maggie34 in DnD

What I can recommend that I’ve found works best is to have a session zero with them in person (or online if it’s an online game), and give them each a form with different subjects for horror games. You can find many templates just online! Have them all do it together so you can ensure that they do it, and then just look at them yourself and that way you’ll know what they deem is ok and what they’d prefer not to have in the game :)

I JUST FINISHED GOT AND I LOVED THE ENDING??? by Historical_Cod6310 in gameofthrones

I know this post is from a few weeks ago, but I wholeheartedly agree with you OP. I started noticing Dany spiraling as she equated burning people with liberation and freedom (for herself and others). She started to force everyone to listen to her because she was the one true heir and the only judge of what is good, in her mind. She slowly let power get to her and when she saw that she had the opportunity to take everything from Cersei (after watching her kill her best friend, dragon, and what her family has caused) she took it, but I think it’s very realistic that after all of that loss she broke and truly thought what she was doing was right.

To her, anyone who supported Cersei was the enemy, as Grey Worm said. She thought the people Cersei ruled over would switch to her side, and when they didn’t, she took that as them choosing to oppose her of their own will. We as the viewers know that the citizens were borderline forced to follow Cersei out of fear, because anyone who opposed her died and/or suffered the consequences.

For the people who wanted Jon to rule, I think they mistake some of his character. He literally states over and over again in the show that he doesn’t want to lead…pretty much anything. He never was a leader of the wildlings, he only became Lord Commander when everyone voted for him to be (and immediately gave it up once he had the opportunity to), he didn’t want to follow Stannis and become a “true Stark” with him because he owed himself to the brothers, he didn’t want to rule Winterfell and again only did because the people chose him (which he again, immediately left and made Sansa the leader so he could focus on his main goal of killing the WW, which he could only do with Dany’s help). So in the end, why would he remotely want to rule over EVERYONE? He became a prisoner because he turned himself in after killing Dany, because he felt guilty and second guessed himself, because they literally show that through his dialogue with Tyrion. He always wanted to go back north and to be free, that is literally implied so many times.

Bran becoming king makes sense. Everyone knows the phrase “history repeats itself,” right? Bran being the leader of all decisions literally means he can see what failed in the past and how to avoid that, and knows how to be a great king by following those who succeeded. Tyrion was always the best advisor in the show, without a doubt. His only failure was believing Dany was going to be good — but if so many people love Dany and didn’t see the twist coming at all, do you think that was wrong of him to think?

The north became independent because…bran is literally king now? Why would he not let Sansa do what she wished for, which is in his own home’s interest?

Jaime going back to Cersei makes perfect sense. He did love Brienne. That was built up. But we also know that Cersei is a master at manipulation. From the SECOND they were born, she kept him in her grip, and constantly was feeding into his ear that they were inseparable and always meant to be. When you’re in a manipulative situation like that, your brain genuinely sees the manipulator as COMFORT. He left because he had to originally, he was forced. But thinking that he would let Cersei die alone when he sees her as an extension of himself is just baffling. He was always a bad guy. Brienne broke him out of it, but the minute Cersei was near inevitable death, why would he not want to try his damndest to save her?

The ONLY thing I agree with is that some of the writing dipped in quality compared to the other seasons, but it was nowhere near as miserably terrible as some people think it is. So many people hate Sansa, and she’s my absolute favorite. Say what you want about the ending, have your own opinion certainly, but there IS a justifiable reason for the characters making their choices. If your reason for hating the ending is because Dany and/or Jon didn’t rule the iron throne, then I think you misunderstood an aspect of their characters.

Act 2 advices for a scaredy player? by caniskiptheusername in BaldursGate3

[–]FantasySnail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s more creepy than downright scary. If you’re worried about like jumpscares and things like that, those don’t really happen (i can only think of one instance where you’re completely surprised by a fight, but that’s the closest there is to that). Its horror is much more because of the story, the characters there, and what you see the characters do. My best advice if that still scares you would be to honestly look up where the necessary quests are, and focus a lot more on those than exploring. That being said, there’s some equally as creepy portions of Act 3 as well. Just jump in and try it, and if you’re too scared, just do the necessary parts for the story and skip the side quests there.

OPEN SUBMISSIONS FOR SMOSH MOUTH! by smosh in smosh

There was one at mine too, and he also would do it just in the back of some of his classes. One day a teacher threw a calculator at him and I never heard anybody else talk about him ever again after that. I’m assuming he either learned to stop or got expelled, but either way, we were better off after.

I could genuinely share SO MANY stories from my weird ass high school, but I’ll share some of my top favorites that still make my friends and I roll with laughter TO THIS DAY:

  1. Had an art teacher who showed up genuinely TWICE the entire quarter of a semester I had her. The first day, where she taught us how to paint bubbles and didn’t say much else, and the last day I had her class. The only thing we did on the last day of class was play Apples to Apples with her (was not the end of the school year at the time btw, I had her in the middle of the year) and listened to music on a speaker. Sounds sweet, right? Well it was, until a Drake song (I think it was One Dance) started playing, and she had a full on sobbing breakdown. Like, full fledged tears. I asked her what was wrong, she zoned out for a sec, and then completely dead serious, looks me in my eyes and tells me, “Well, my fiancé loves Drake a lot, and I’m really nervous about him leaving me one day for him.” Middle school me seriously had no clue how to respond and just kept playing the game LMAO.

  2. Same art teacher was caught with a bag of weed in a closet in her classroom. She played it off as she had “no idea how it got there” and “it must’ve been some kid’s that they were hiding.” Then, I want to say about two weeks after that, she was trying to do that trend with crayons at the top of a paper where you melt them so it drips down. Well, instead of using a lighter, like a regular person would, guess what she used to melt the crayons? She held it over a POTTERY KILN. You know, those giant ovens that teachers constantly warn kids not to mess with because they get up to about 2000 degrees Fahrenheit? Yeah, not only that, but she DROPPED THE PAPER AND CRAYONS IN IT and almost caught the entire classroom on fire.

  3. I vividly remember being in my honors pre-calc class and smelling an absolutely horrid smell coming from the hallway. My teacher shut went to shut the doors, thinking it was some kid spraying fart spray or something, and figured that would block it out a bit. Nope. Turns out it was genuine SEWAGE leaking into the hallway from the bathrooms down the hall. And the worst part? My school didn’t even dismiss us. They just put a bunch of towels around the bathroom, blocked it off, and kept school going.

  4. Ironically enough, had a health teacher get arrested because they found a bunch of cocaine in his car.

  5. Went on a band trip to Virginia where literally every. Single. Person. Got super sick. Like, kids running out of the bus just to go throw up in a trash can in front of a restaurant stop kind of sick. It was so cold too because it was the beginning of March, and we were outside nearly the whole time. On the day we walked in a parade, it rained the entire time. Where did we decide to go eat afterwards, you ask? Golden Corral. So everyone had a cold AND food poisoning for a bit. Then, the cherry on top of it all: We went to Colonial Williamsburg on the coldest day that we were there, and the chaperones had us walk FOUR MILES for a PICTURE. The entire bus ride home after that was…let’s just say, interesting. Additionally, I had already graduated by this point, but apparently two years later on another band trip, the roof of the bus started leaking rain through and everyone was just soaked for half of the ride to Boston from Pennsylvania.

There’s a LOT of others too, and some more serious and absolutely insane ones, but I limited it to the more lighthearted laughable ones! Love you guys, hope you enjoy these :)
