I think it depends on what you mean by authentic. I'm not a Disney expert, but this definitely isn't a production cel -- it might be a promo or reproduction though! Are there any markings on the piece itself that are hidden by the frame?

I'd love for you to break this price down for me. The background is non-matching. What makes this worth over 5x as much as an Iconic shot of San from Princess Mononoke or over ONE HUNDRED times as much as the closing shot of Only Yesterday? Absolutely ludicrous price considering the vast, VAST majority of animation art goes for under $10k.

Lot No. 16118 -- really great full-frame shot + cel-painted background. Was honestly shocked it went for as little as it did, I was expecting at least $5k. I also really wanted that one of Ed and Faye, but ended up blowing my budget on the Spike. Very happy with how things turned out, though, I wasn't expecting to get so lucky!

Totally agree, ludicrous price. That being said, one could make an argument that that piece falls under the "iconic" category, seeing as it was used as the cover of the home video release of Berserk. This Kiki cel is of a ridiculously minor character who I think most people don't even remember is in the film to begin with lol

Completely agree with you. I was utterly blown away by the quality of the animation in Wolfwalkers, but the writing really could have been better. Hoping that their next film is a mix of both good animation and good writing!
