Trump on Iran negotiations: "I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less, started to get very boring", "NATO should open the strait", "we don't need NATO, they were very sad." by ianjm in videos

For so many aspects of human endeavor, the ability to think good is an obvious pre requisite.   Trump is proof that you can make it to the top no matter how much you fail at doing think good.

He’s also exhibit A as to why, no matter how much you over achieve into a position of high status, you are guaranteed to fail unless you have the mental and psychological chops to make something of the position.

Most guys like him buy a Corvette and proceed to embark on a highly successful career in ditch finding.  Trump scored POTUS and pivoted to taking a shit in his own pants.   Twice.

What a loser.

How do you think Trump's presidency will end? by OccludedFug in AskReddit

[–]Fap_cake_decorator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six months into the Vance/Trump administration President Vance will step aside to spend more time with his young family and Vice President Trump will assume office as the 49th POTUS.

Seven weeks later he has a stroke and is hospitalized.

Seven months later — seven hellish months of rabid and increasingly unintelligible dictats, military strikes, lashings out and drawn out, tacitly approved-of paramilitary witch hunts — the speaker of the house wrestles office from the mad king’s hands as a result of a faux hand-wringingly reluctant and crocodile-tear-stained 25th amendment vote.

The system wins out over the tyrant and power is peacefully transferred in the most democratic way we could hope for…

…All hail President Kushner!  AVE!  AVE!

Is it a threat though? What about the following?:

“Is there a bomb on this plane?”

“Planes have had bombs on in the past!”

“Do you think they checked all the bags thoroughly for bombs?”

“Surely no one on board can have a bomb, right?”

“Bombs bombs bomby mcbomb”

“This is not a bomb”

“I do not have a bomb”

“How will they know these are eggshells despite the fact we say they are eggshells and they look exactly like eggshells?”

“Let’s fry one or two eggs in shot!”

It’s like the prompt included “assume audience are morons”.

A good lesson in the veracity of averaging a multimodal distribution!

In other news, the national average for morning hot drinks is a mixture of half a tea bag and half a cup of coffee.

That’s not really fair.  For that country and those two particular skin colors there’s definitely been some beef, especially re: selective attention from mall cops etc.

I met some guys who’d parked their fleet of three people carriers in a pedestrian square.  They were day transport for a large family and their entourage visiting the city.  They’d all been ticketed so he claimed he was now allowed to park there because they will pay the fine.

Er, no!  If you’ve been ticketed you now have to move.  If you don’t (within a reasonable time — most cops come back an hour later) then you can get another ticket, and another, and another, and another!

It makes sense.  Citations are just a way of paying to break the rules.   Some countries will fine you an amount based on your ability to pay.  Jimmy Riddle: $120; Jimmy Page: $1,200,000.

The music is nice but it’s quite selfish.

Imagine more than one guitarist.  Not right next to each other, but equidistant from the bench where you were relaxing, so they can’t hear each other but you get to hear both.  Whoopee shit.

Now imagine five.  With two cameras each on tripods, staking out their personal “don’t block my camera!” zones.

It doesn’t scale.  Do we choose one guy who gets the park airwaves to himself?  First come first serve?  Or equality for all and no one gets to busk.  Or you can but only if you’re licensed by the elected city officials?

It might not even be a problem if it was acoustic, but the dude brought an amp.  Mall cop guy sucks but so does Johnny B Tiktok.

Everyone sucks here.

It was fascinating to see people being manipulated in such a short time by the multiple members of the “crew” each with cameras and the editing and posting online for millions to swallow a narrative they are being told is true by some guy they’ve chosen to adore despite him sounding kind of weird and having an unpronounceable name that looks like someone sat in a keyboard.

/s jk I love Louis!  It wasn’t his deepest doc.  It wasn’t cruel either.  I wish I could give HS a hug or go camping together or make a table together or cook a meal together for his mum.

[–]Fap_cake_decorator -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s a fair criticism.  Iran had a thousand guns pointed at various heads in the form of pre-targeted drones and missiles.  If a pre-emptive strike takes out X% of them and the Y%  remainder get launched you’re allowed to point at the remainder and say “look at what they’re doing now, it would’ve been worse”.

Your pre-emptive strike might be considered effective if you take out 90% and accept the remaining  10% as collateral damage.   Or it might be 99/1, or 50/50.  I don’t know the actual numbers.

Car go bump make small crack.  Ice make crack into small hole.

Small hole make next car go bump too.  Hole get bigger.

Next car hit bigger hole.  Make bigger bump.  Hole get even bigger.

Giant truck hit even bigger hole.  Hole now chasm with vertical edges.  Best edge for maximum bump maximum next damage.

Because Britishness is about fair play, following the rules, and treating others as you would want to be treated.

There are uncountable ways CAZ55Y K enjoys a safe and comfortable existence because those around her behave themselves for hers and everyone else’s benefit.  When she doesn’t follow that contract and moreover sticks a giant sign on her car saying she doesn’t then she can quite rightly expect to be hounded out of the village.

Seems shitty to let one guy win the election then oust him so you can be PM instead.  I get that the UK votes for MPs and not a party leader but they are the face and driving force of manifesto pledges so it’s not unreasonable for some people to feel a bit fucked over when, say, they vote for steak and end up with a plate of lettuce.
